690 days ago 1 categories Coodanup, WA, AU. Another beautiful day with many out enjoying the sun. Good to see Woody out again. Didn't get as long a sail as planned due to traffic accident on freeway and a chap with a giant telephoto camera came over to chat just as I started rigging. Turns out he is local councilor and keen to promote Coods and positive stuff about the place. He was very interested in what we were doing plus the photographic attraction for him. Discussed GPSTC and what we do, gave him the website and my YT channel to check out and told him to come next monday for hopefully some real action. Wanted to discuss the chook pond issue but also wanted to get out for a sail. Sooo...if you see a guy with a giant telephoto camera next monday trying to get photos of the action, probably a good guy to have on our side so go have a chat. Based on new subscriber to my YT channel just after I chatted to him his name is Daniel Wilkins and has YT channel Lensmandan but sounded as if he is more into facebook. iSonic86, KAR7, FF18V4

690 days ago What a lovely day at flat, sunny, windy, Coooooodanup. Everybody and his wife were there and they were all going very fast. I avoided a few 140kmh closing speed crashes so that was good. I had the smallest sail on the water 5m Mach 4 and my JP 54 slalom board which was underdone at first but as the afternoon progressed it seemed a good mixture. There'll be some good speeds and alphas posted because I saw, Flex and Boz and Richo and Woody and Ant many from other teams killling it.
I just checked my stats and my 5X10, alpha and distance were all top 5, so I'm happy.
A fantastic day....it's much nicer than being in Afghanistan.

Fun session and started on the falcon 56 and 6.6 evo. didn't feel comfortable so tried the AV98 which handled the sail nicely. happy to see a 38.65 2 sec for it proper maiden voyage. Wind picked up so rigged the 5.8 and took the falcon 56 back out. Tried some alphas but then saw Boz upwind 500m and joined him for a naughty. Happy get some speed on the run. Top afteroon and great to see everyone sailing so well. Top afternoon.

Started off grovelling upwind and repeatedly finding the gravel pit with the fin. Considered calling it early and heading home but when the wind came in it made for some great conditions. Richo's naughty run worked a treat. Happy with one of my best alphas towards the end of the session too. Great to see so many happy faces all keen for more action on Monday. Mistral91, NPR62, tribal delta 18 now with cerrated edge.

Wind picked up after I rigged so was overpowered f o r the latter part of the session.
Best nm was on the bigger board, later the wind swung SW and it was hard to get a downwind nm in.
Disappointed when my favorite watch got ripped off mid gybe, if anyone finds a black watch in the alpha area (Very unlikely)it is mine. GT 31 also got swamped with water but seems to be working still. Very disappointed with my speeds, thought I should have been able to do better with the wind on offer.
It was great to see so many happy PB makers after their epic scores, and good not to have a long drive home after. Thanks Peter and Nina.
