Estuary NE .......SL73, NCX 6.5, Tribal Weed 24

Weed fin and it's not too bad. Doesn't fly the board but it's ok to sail.

Feels a bit like when sailing on small speed fins and el pilote just need to sail as the fin requires, ie don't go silly with loading.

It stays up wind ok and can sail anywhere cos the weed doesn't matter.

The way the Estuary is looking these may be the future for us as seems to be the case for the Aussies.

PS.....I only go 25-26kts at best these days so its not too much slower.

An interesting session.

Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Thought the wind looked stronger than it was and so I downhauled my sail a centimetre more than I've ever done before, was easy to sail with, but not quite enough for the breeze - Should have come ashore and fixed it, and also swapped out my weed fin, which was less than ideal in the mostly deep weed free water. On the other hand the fin was allowing me to go very close in to the shoreline and so have more overall space to sail in.
