Swan Lake, Cudmirrah NSW PD100 / 5.7 / 35 Another cranking NE. Was good fun albeit over cooked in the gusty and choppy conditions.

NSW slalom, great location on the beautiful Lake Macquarie, figure 8 slalom course, quite a big turnout which made the startline busy, and the first mark thrills and spills kept you on your toes. Started the day with a pep talk on the local shark situation from Barry, a tour of Tibors new van, and finished the day with a bbq sausage, thanks everyone, particulary Boston for running the boat, and Miss Boston for the race flags management

Good SW wind, numbers on 91L/7.0m first session in morning with Marchy. Stopped short due to hitting sandbank, catapult, broken mast. Unrigged and walked/swam gear back in. Very low tides all day, had to avoid sandbanks even on high tide.  Second session on 108L/7.8m with Dale later in afternoon wind dropping. Distance cut short due to battery running out in Motion. Actual distance on Garmin 107 km.

swan bay ssw to south direction ok but not ideal. need to get out to wind line and beyond to get some clean wind. gusty squally in close and then a dog back to the launch spot. great to catch up with Ash and Allan although Allan did the splits and pulled a groin muscle and pulled the pin.

hope he is O.K. good distance again Ash.

got there a bit late for the best winds overpowered on 7.8m initially but wind slowly backed off to dogging in the lulls.

Good session with Ash and Dale.

Was going well until my back foot slipped off at the start of a gybe and I performed a non-consensual splits with one foot in the strap and the other dragging behind and a powered up sail. Bit sore today.
