Port Sorrell, TAS, AU WHAT WILD CONDITIONS!!! It was there for the taking. Hard work, but stoked on the results! Well done to all braving those conditions. Great to meet Antman from WA. How was that mate!! Annoying I lost my Garmin watch but glad the motion remained on my arm in a small stack. There was definitely some hints of some faster runs. But just wasn’t worth that extra push. Especially so long between speed sail sessions. JP Speed 45, C3 sweed 19cm, NPEVO9 5.2m

Port Sorell, TAS, AU

Starboard Speed 45 | Luderitz Speed 5.2 | C3 Slingshot 21

Wow, windy!  Perks had 46 knots on the wind meter before we went out and it got windier than that when we were out!

First run 41.7 knots and then the 43 knot run where I crashed at the end in the chop. Took me about half an hour to get ashore (stuck in current and chop) and I went in to get my 5.5 as i'd popped a batten in the 5.2.  After what seemed like ages, got back on the run to realize I'd rigged it with SDM cams on an RDM mast and it just didn't feel right (did two slow runs)!  Went back in, fixed the batten in the other sail and went back out again to do one more run, but it was still howling and the tide was starting to come back in so the run was getting shorter and called it a day.  Still a fantastic session, but wild!

Everyone pushing it today.  Even a cameo for Kaleb - great to see you Kaleb!

Great to see Antman flying around and scoring a PB 2-second!!

Well done Izaak and Perks, great speeds - fantastic effort.

Hopefully i've got some fo the runs on video - will post something later!

Wow. At my sub 30kt stage, PB’s are pleasant, at this stage, I imagine they’d be terrifying. 😳

Just water state, Jacques. Some 10sec runs were there, 42.5 on one run. Hard day! It just needed to stay more NW through low tide than it swing more square. Awesome dad! And Dave snagging a run.
