Fun little session although the wind wasn't anywhere near as strong as what it looked.
Initially went out with the JP weed, but was having a nightmare run on the E-W tack with it cavitaing for no reason. This was creating a bit of hurt in my ankle which has yet to forgive me for my last unplanded dismount.
Back in and a change of fin helped a lot, tacked up wind only to find the wind had backed off more.
Sent it downwind as best I could, a few more runs and I was done.
Great sailing with Terry and a thoughsand trendsetters. Great to catchup with Snides and Cheryl, recently returned from the long jaunt.

7 days ago rigged for a cruisy session in the flat, and that's what I got
60cm board 6.2 Koncept and 20cm deltoid.
Just pleasantly powered in the gusts, but a bit underdone most of the time. The 6.6 may have beena better choice.
Nice company and some smoooth at last. enogh water to get into it, and not too much wind to chop it up.

7 days ago Fangyland with the all the usual underemployed suspects. AtomicFangy150l, Avalon 7.0, FF24 12%proto. Just enough puff to enjoy the arvo on this kit, but not enough to head downhill with any conviction, more a cruise enjoying the glass bottom boat effect in places. In the marginal conditions, the 12% fin was a good pick. Lots of bottom end drive, and just not windy enough to run into drag issues at the top end of its speed range.
Speaking of clear water; I am not sure why I am seeing them so much this year, but I saw another cobbler today. This time up at the western end. Gives me the heebie jeebies every time.
