Not too bad but not as good as yesterday....or are we getting fussy?...yes!

Marmong Point, NSW, AU. That would have to have been my favourite foil session ever! 7.0 overdrive, 900 front wing and zero degrees on the minus 2 slim stab. Consistent 15 knots and flat water over near Warners Bay. Did not eat one piece of dust this afternoon! 😁

JP HydroFoil 155 Flow 1500 Sailworks 7.1

A little more breeze today but very choppy to begin with. Settled as the wind moved more to the east.

Just Tibor, Glenn and I with Bryce bringing up the rear.

15th wing Belmont 16s

 5m Naish matador - 130ltres Fone - 1800 front wing.

5-12kts ESE plus then patchy 0 - 16kts + E

Top speed 7.3kts - distance 3.87

I was going to go out again but it got too patchy.

I feel I improved. I tried to foil many times. I'm not sure if I came up but as soon as I got close the wing would pull me off downwind.

I've been trying to let off the power with my backhand like windsurfing but someone suggested I put the wing up over my head to depower. I'll try that next time.

I feel like I'm on the cusp of getting it together. I feel satisfied but I'm still not really enjoying it yet.

Nerong (Myall Lakes)

E-SE 5 -12 knots

FFF200, Sailworks 6.5m, Axis 1099

Back on the water after Christmas Chaos and a bout of ManFlu.

Took a while to find decent wind. Ended up doing 100 tacks/gybes with longest runs of 300-400m.

New watch works great so thanks Geoff.

Jimmy’s beach, nsw. RSOne, 7.5, 48cm. The caddilac, what I learnt to drive on, still the best bus out of the lot here.
I saw a sailing cat going good down off winda Woppa as I rigged up the beach. I imagined having a race with it. Next minute, that race happened. So cool. Felt like I’d gone back in time blasting on the long board one hand, looking back at the lady in bikini and fluro vest hanging off the side of the cat as salty old mate skipper lifted the hull.
Out in the middle of the bay, chop melts like butter under the bus. It was going so well over chop that I was able to get enough speed to fully bury the nose and smashed through a wave.
Came up to do runs with mobdog when he came out. It was fading then. And jetskiis kept bombing me. We stopped but vowed to return with foils. I had no faith it would come back so had a shower and called it quits. Mobdog still going..

Will be glad to get back on the lake to do a few straight lines. Trees and Windfoiling are not a good mix. At least the banks are steep.

Seen a few Water Dragons today which is unusual. Plenty of Eagles around. Probably looking for broken Carbon Fibre for their nests.

Tea Gardens Fireworks tomorrow night Mobz.
