If only we coukd have had that tide on Tuesday, with the strong winds, the speeds would have been amazing!
Never the less, it was good fun cruising in the smooth, but I was a bit too optimistic on one gybe, hitting the bottom and smashing my chin on the boom as the board came to a sudden stop. I was surprised to find blood streaming down my neck, so although any local sharks would have had to belly crawl to get to me, I still decided it was time to stop and get a bandaid or something to stem the flow (which incidentally has not been very effective - there must be some anticoagulant in boom covering, because the wound is still bleeding 4 hours later ...)
