Albany, WA, AU Another brilliant day at Lilacs! Other than getting bogged in the mud I had fun! Absolute amazing sailors out there to aspire to. Loving my new board. Severne fox, Turbo 5.5, Fangy fin. 😎

Lilacs, Albany. Is111, 6.2 K, 22FF.  M91, 6.2, 22FF

What a difference the right fin screws make! Same gear today, but all worked well with the fins not cavitating.

A better day today, but aaargh! I missed my hour PB by 0.069 of a knot!

The day started well with beautiful flat water and moderate wind. Both GPS units started first pop, and Flex had kindly lent me a spare unit just in case.

The only problem was that I lost my watch, which is not ideal when the plan is to go for an hour.

At least I had the boom mount GPS units so I could monitor the hour. My plan was to keep going until the hour stopped climbing, but the decision was made for me when I fell off a gybe and didn't have the leg strength to get on again. It was not the first gybe I had dropped, but I thought if Fingers can get a 15 kn hour PB without doing any gybes, then I should be OK with only getting most of them.

My best hour for 9 years. This is the only hour in my top 5 which is scored in this decade.

Flex, this watch went missing before I went out. I later found it in my car. It was camouflaged against something black.

Fabulouse way to enjoy mother nature in an amazing place. According to the garmin I have sailed 321km. GT31 file is zero bytes. GW60 which went flat twice isn't connecting. PB, hour, alpha, naughty, and distance will have to wait for another day. 37knot peak.

Oh Ben! Is the Garmin not one of the approved ones?

Please post your numbers here in comments

It's an older garmin fenix 3HR. Trying to figure out how to load the files to KA72. Currently running mac OS12.7.6. Might have to update the OS to find a suitable FIT reader. I've sworn off uddating OS's as they tend to make the laptop run slower.

Snickers, I think we have a work around for you. The GT 31 has an internal memory which can be accessed by navilink. If the unit was turned on the data should be there. I have the necessary software on my computer

Sadly Navilink would not download Ben's data, even though it detected the GPS unit

Thanks Peter and Anita for trying to get the results of the failed devices.

That is a sensational session, Snickers! 2 PBs, and evrything other than 2 sec in your top 5, and that didn't miss by much.

Superb sailing.

I am still hopeful we can get that data off your GT31 if we can clean the contacts
