Christchurch Estuary, NZ  ..Tried to buy into the low flooding tide with a Tribal 12 Delta, in my CA78, but it was flooding faster than I hoped and I really should have been on my Tribal 16 for optimum performance.

..It was soon pretty choppy as well, and so I decided to give my wave board a go, and it was definitely easier going in the chop - but at the same time it wasn't getting going as easily as the slalom board in thin patches of breeze, which actually made it harder work overall.

So went in and got my slalom board back out the car and put a bigger fin in it

..Stopped my GPS's twice in between so a bit of a mission to add up the numbers!

CA78, KA R 5.2, Tribal Delta 12

CA OKE Wave, KA R 5.2, Flikka 20 & 2 short side fins

CA78, KA R 5.2, Flikka 22 ..This combiation provided the best overall perfomance of the day

Lake Aviemore.  Very patchy and light. Use the bigger board just for the extra float. Next time a bigger sail as well. CA 103 M5 6.2 C3 40

At last an easterly wind!

Fairly rough water again but nice to get a sail.

Using Ezzy foil sail which is an interesting feel, tight leech and plenty of back hand.

Quattro FSW95, Ezzy Cross 5.7, Curtis 31 fin
