| Gloria aka Jacko (1664km): Coodanup, WA, AU Spendid arvo with a whole flotilla of sailors....the usual suspects plus I few I didn't know. I had fun but didn't manage any better speed. I did get a lovely compliment from Anita which made me feel less of a Gumby. Wind picked up and started getting a bit lumpy...would have loved to stay longer but had no energy left. Fox105, Turbo 5.5 Fangy. 😎 | ||||||||||||||||||
Topcat (2370km): ![]() Pelican Point, WA. Spent previous 24 hrs travelling back from the snow in Japan but felt I couldn't let the wind go to waste despite my body telling me it needed some sleep. Overall felt better for it. Moto6.4/Radix98/WS29 | ||||||||||||||||||
| fingers (1596km): Coodanup 15.22 knots i tried to tune my new 5.6 mt Patric race sail today, got half way there it has lots of pull and power, i found it hard to get on the board on the port tack, used the 88lt slalom with the 25 weed speed i counted 15 on the water at one time big crew i would like to thank Steve, Rob , and Anita who helped me rig the new sail, as i pushed the mast through the top of the sail | ||||||||||||||||||
| Windxtasy (14985km): Coodanup 54 Manta, M 91, 5.4K, 23WS, 20 tribal delta, 27 weedy For once, a lot of wind on a day off. Win! The trouble was that I have not sailed in any strong wind since before I got COVID at Christmas time, so now I feel totally wrecked. It didn't help that I kept trying different board/fin combos in a futile attempt to get the sort of speed I felt should have been achievable, and I have ended up sailing the most kms since that fateful COVID infection on the least distance friendly day. Once the wind kicked in the sail was just right, but I couldn't get a board /fin combo that was. It was hard to stay across the wind, hard to get going and not enough power in the gusts to really head downwind. I still don't like the M 91. Thought I'd give it another try today but it just doesn't work for me. If anyone wants one, make me an offer. | ||||||||||||||||||
SRS73 (17808km): ![]() Coodanup, WA The GW60 has packed it in so this session is from my Garmin FR265. Nice to see a big turn out today. Tide was good and the wind built during the afternoon but not really enough for the 5.5. iSonic 52, SV M4 5.5, Tribal WSP 23
