Port Sorell, TAS, AU

iSonic 77 | M4 OD 7.8 | Tribal MK1 40

Nice midday sail with Perks and Stew.  Started off quite light, but freshened as per the forecast.  First time I've sailed the 40cm MK1 in a long time.  Thought the 44 Vector Volt might be a bit big and was keen to do a few gybes so wanted a pointer fin rather than the Weedspeed.  Was very surprised how good that fin felt.  Super locked in, with heaps of lift and felt great off the wind also.  I rarely plane out of any of my gybes at Port Sorell, but over the last couple of days I have been trying to do all things necessary to keep me planing in marginal conditions (as per the 'sail along with cookie' videos) and they have been paying off, with some nice fully planing light wind power gybes - you can teach an old dog new tricks!
