Melville Beach, WA, AU     More of a chat session with Boz and Ricey plus testing the multiple repaired battens on the 7m.   Super gusty, nice then nothing  ....I blame Richo who said definitely he was sailing here but was obviously too much for him.  iSonic117, KAR7, FF28

Coodanup, WA, AU iS111, 7m Koncept, 24FF 25 degrees and sunny, ave 15 kn when I rigged, dropped to 10 - 12 after I set out, 15 - 18 after I finished.

Wind had no oomph in it.

On setting out I thought 15 kn might be good for an hour - it was fairly flat - but the wind dropped off and I was barely planing for most of the frst hour. Kevin and Gloria arrived so I stopped to have a chat to them - to advise to rig the biggest they had  - then I set out again. The wind picked up a bit later so I thought I would have another go at an hour, even though the runs in the flat were fairly short. Toward the end I started to get tired of gybing and went for some longer runs through the chop. My hour kept climbing but when it reached 16.4 I didn't have the energy to gybe any more so I called it a day.

I thought I may have scored an hour PB but I was getting confused with my alpha score, which had it been the hour score, it would have been a PB.

Hour included 28 turns. I didn't drop any gybes but I stepped off in the shallows twice at the end .

Alpha top speed was 22.3, low 5.8 so pretty happy with 17+

All in all a pleasant day on the water.

My best hour since 2019 and my best distance for the year

Coodanup, WA, AU Another spectacular day at good old Coods! Lovely sailing with Anita, Kevin, Rob and Basil. 6.5 Severne Turbo and Tabou rocket. Wind was up and down but the gusts were lovely. Had some coaching from Anita re gybing…one step at a time. Happy Valentine’s Day y’all! 😉

Melville Beach, WA, AU

Nice afternoon sesh at Melville with an old mate. Thought Flex was coming for a sail but i didnt see him. I did see Ricey out sending it .

Typical gusty Melville but with a high tide you could  sail anywhere. Been a long time since i sailed with a fin bigger than 18cm. Undercooked on the 6.9 but at least i had the 118ltr board so i could float.

Nice foil @ Peli.

Breeze looked gusty and holey, so I rigged my iQ foil set up with the 900 wing, paired with the 7.0 Iris RF + FTY board.

Combo was spot on in the gusty winds, and I had a great sesh...the combo felt like it had after-burners with all the lift from the big wing Smile

Headed back downwind late arvo, cos I thought it was fading, but the breeze hung around, and I had some great powered-up runs across to Majestic and back.

Rapt with that little mission, better than expected Cool

Ahem, Gloria, what happened to your “no PB's for me today”?! Tongue out Laughing.

And well done on the hour Windy, especially given the conditions weren't particularly conducive for anything special.
