455 days ago A very hectic session at Boombas this morning. Some big squalls coming through (and lightning) and very choppy so not much in the way of good speeds today. A little unfit after being off the water for a few months from a fractured foot. Good to be out again, even though conditions were a little hectic. Caught up with Rob from Mandurah Mob. Windtech 9'4" and 6.5 Aerotech.

It's my first time sailing at Lake Walyungup and I'm stoked to crack 43 knots. I managed to get my PB quite early in the session on a lucky gust that hit at the perfect time as I was fanning along the speed run. It was a great session with Slowboat, Antman and Flex as cameraman.

Today was about trying the new board (falcon replica) in the best conditions possible for the day. Started out in NNW offshore runs on the outside. Turns out Coods 2.30pm was ideal with West as I de-rigged! Used a 18delta fin in light chop (wanted to get over any submurged weed bergs) which didn't do the board justice and neither did using the wrong mast. But the board was awsome over the back of rolling chop. I was sailing the board square to the wind to get a feel for it, thinking this is the new Alpha board. The the first opporutnity with a squal I tested over the chop and was happy to 40.39 peak. Super stable and wanted more of which it will get in time. Very happy to get a 40kt on the new board for its first slingshot in less than ideal conditions. Top job MarkOZ. Evo 5.8. Great to catch up with some many top blokes today too.
