great session at Safety Bay this arvo, elected to stay away from Hardies due to the weed problems so settled for attacking the outer bar at the pond

racing an incoming tide i got a few good runs in before it chopped up too much

Not too many kiters out although they still managed to get in the way

NP RS Slalom II 5.8, Carbon art SP50, and my favourite sawn off FO weedy

used this sail on the correct mast for the first time ever today, had to go through the whole tuning fiasco again as old settings no longer applied

thought my alpha would have been a bit better but they were all in the corner under the new sand spit with some patchy wind.

hope you guys had some fun today

Did my back-in in the morning it went into spasm, had to test gear, so sailed with back spasm whole time and stuffed wrist.  Went out on longer harness lines and felt all wrong, came back in went back to 28's, felt heaps better.  Tested Iso 86, with a 23cm weed (too small) Vapor 6m, Everytime I was powered up and pointed her down-wind I would spin out, thought I was gonna destroy my wrist and back, but never tripped over a rail, LUCKY.  Would never have gone out other than to try the ISO.  Others were having fun and going faster than me, nice to be back on water, but felt in agony most of the timeYell

wanted to back Sam's alphas today.

Wind was a bit light when we arrived so tried the 6.0 lightning on the old speed board, with the 23cm 40deg sym.

Didn't quite work as well as I hoped.

When the wind kicked in I should have changed down to the 5.2 X15, but couldn't be bothered.

Think this is the fastest I've had the lightning though, even with it rigged fairly flat.

JP SS 100L, NP RSR 5.8, JP Freeride Weed 31cm

Bit of spincter excersize tonightEmbarassed went out with the intention of bettering the Bendymans SX top speed got a 36.6 on the dial but didn't eventuate to software.

Runs were interesting not knowing if there was some hidden death waiting , had seen Crasher bite it big time and was a weeee bit concerned, in the end it wasn't the weed I had to worry about but the chop at the end of the runs, did a 34knot run towards the end started getting a bit bumpy unhooked tnext thing I know the boards up around shoulder high and still going down wind, it's amazing how tight you can clench your freckle.

A few more runs later and I though descretion is the better part of survival

Hopefully the wind over tonight and tomorow starts cleaning some of the snot out of the water

Lechenault inlet crappy on/off Southerly

F2 SX XL and SX63, RS6 7.8m, 40cm Choco

Rocked up after seeing the ocean all full of white caps. The inlet was almost dead calm. it filled in a bit so i rigged the 7.8m and jumped on PONG(SX XL). Cruised awhile and it filled in to 18-20knts. plugged in the SX63. Its not ideal trying to speed sail in knee to waist high chop swell. Very happy to get a 30 on the dial.Cool

session one

Quick blast at SBay at low tide to test my 22.5 fin for this arvo at woodies!! 2 kiters was already there, less that an hr later 8, few jumping making it bit dangerous.. did few runs on the inside as I could not use the weed bank.. water still too shallow (was not powered down the runs). 34.799, 33.049, 0, 20.457, 16.077, 13.499

Adam was rigging when I left, he should get some good numbers on the weed bank later... I am going back to have a look and take some pics if I can.

Happy sailing to everyone in WA.. be safe, today and 2morrow going to be epic Surprised

Hopefully I ll come back with better numbers tonight!.........> yes I did

session two

Woodies with half of the SRM (nice to meet Greg and Stinger). What the madness it was, my little 44 dislike the huge chops over there.. Outside I pull out 2 surviving gybe the rest was missed Sealed. This spot is so hard and exausting to go to the run (maybe also I had 2 session and sailed yesterday) and those bloody kites just make it harder. Was probably 25 knots... the run is fantastic when you worked out the angle.

Big respect for those ones had sailed there today Wink, thanks to Ado for pushing me at using 5.8 even was madness, in the run was perfect Cool (thats what speed sailing is about I suppose). Respect to Ado for casy non-stopping.. man you looked great on the run, and Stinger on using is 7m (he is mad). Very happy for sailing with the big guns today Smile. Hope I ll have some juice left for tomorrow..

Looked like it was a good day until a few "legends" showed up Frown

Always wondered why these guys used to be predominantly outside the pond, other side of the sand bar and all of a sudden over one season, just elected to cram the pond with inconsiderate people wanting to "boost “in such a small spotFrown
