JP SS 100L, NP RS4 6.7m, JP Freeride weed 36cm

On the way home the wind looked sweet, got there it had dropped 5knots, still looked good though and I was in the mood for a fun sail, I was not dissapointedCool.

Hightlights of the session

4km drag race with Hardie level pegging it the whole way no matter what either of us triedCoolCoolCool

Nice blast 3/4's the way over to Claudesville wioth Yoyo only to have the wind drop out and leave us 6km away from home chuggingCry however after about 3mins of dogging it I had the absolute crap scared out of me when a Furken dolphin poped up about 4foot away from my board and spray me with waterSurprised my wetsuit needs a scrubout.

Good times good timesCoolCoolCoolCool

7.6m TR4, 104 fanatic falcon and tried a 33cm chocco weed fin..... DONT GET ONE FOR SPEED SAILING OR SLALOM SAILING!!!!!!!!!!!

aaahhhhh got that out

reason why??? get close to 31 knots and it spins out, no warnings, nothing just over the handle bars i had a crash at 30 knots and straight over no warnings nothing was kinda cool actually.... any suggestions for a 32-36 cm slalom weedy????

i am loving the big gear atm, and sorry for not uploading my times more often, i tend to forget my gps from time to time....

undercook but enjoyable sail for my last session of the year with few of the crabs crusher Cool. Tried a bit of everything, too lazy to change board, good trainning. Quite amazing how warm the air and water was!!

Plan was for a big distance day if the wind co-operated. Frown and if body co-operatedFrown

Arrived at Novarra 4.30, quite windy and dark. Thought I may need torch to rig but sky lightend rapidly. Considered 6.7 but as forecast was not for big winds early on rigged 7.8RSS, F2 SX L and 40 choco weedy. Packed mobile phone in aquapack as I was sailing alone.

Launched 4:52 no wind, wind came in at 5.00, had a great couple of hours exploring the estuary. wind a bit gusty below plaining speed but last hour was great cruising around at 17kts for the hour. Felt as though I could do this all day.. distance looking good!

07:00 wind dropped to 10kts, I was nearly as far from launch point as possible. No problem chugging back other than it took 75 minutes and that took a toll on the body, muscles in same position for a long time.

Joined by Decrepit soon after 0900, spent a lot of the next 4 hours slogging around, wind often on the brink of being enough but not quite. with 40cm fin and water level falling I ran up the channel a couple more times, I think this is contributed to the problem with cramp. Ended up with cramp in thigh, painful biceps and triceps. the wors bit was running, arms strugling to keep sail stable clew first.

Packed away the big kit at noon and rested for 1.5 hours while decrepit continued to raxck up some slow kms.and rested for a bit, thigh was v painful from cramp, team masseur put that right: many thanks.

Relaunched CA52SL, 5.8RSSII (rigged for comfort rather than max speed due to pain) , Benetic 26.5 weedy. mast base right back. NOw there was Sam, Hardie, Webby and otheres on the water, I just had fun on the CA no longer focussing on trying to do distance.

Thrilled with how this combo went in relatively low wind conditions, good upwind, great off the wind, relatively easy to get planing. Need to learn to gybe it! have been focussing on step gybes for the SX and ISO 105, think I need to get my head around strap to strap for the smaller boards.

first 5 divisions shown on CA.

Thanks Chris, hadn't realised I'd got there until you mentioned it.

Jason, the JP's are supposed to be OK, by the sond of it the choco's leading edge is too thick, for speed the entry needs to be quite fine, or it will ventilate.
