Safety Bay, WA, AU

Started on 7.8 RS Slalom with futura 101, broke boom Cryon just 2nd run into corner with this combo luckily I only had a short swim back to beach

Changed down to 7.0 RS Slalom on the 101, went out continuing to bust alphas out into the corner, after a while I  went for a wander out to see what it was like for doing NMs to the island but could not keep board in control through the slop, launched down the bar ready to call it a day but the mighty 101 is good for 36.75 knotsSurprised that sealed the deal and I went in and got the Carbon Art SP 50 out, only did one run faster on it as the wind seemed to get patchy

Good day at Safety Bay

Tr-4 6.3m iSo 86 Lessacher Chameleon 23cm Went for alphas today, did a lot was hoping to break the 25kt barrier, was expecting to see at least one 25kt and a string of 24kts, but only got one above 24 and the rest were 22's and 21's obviously going too wide, its a great spot but needs to be marked out

Hardies.. the 40 was definitly possible on the run the problem the weeds.. lot of seagull on water!

Had a bit of a crack at the hour even it was way to windy and choppy for it, so I end up doing it with 13  straight legs of 3.5kms, 1 only downwinder leg (last one to shore), 25 alphas and a max speed of 35.378. NM and Alpha are in my HR. Had a PB Alpha at 60m Yell

Tried later to top up the speed with the 44 but it was so hairy, choppy that only improved a bee dick! Did not wanted to risk it.. shaaaame for the run Cry

Sorry Hards I didn't do a better job of backing upyour alpha, but they were taking too much out of me, and I wanted Kms

Wind dropped out on my first run, which unfortunately was all the way across the estuary, made it a bout a 3rd of the way planning nicelly then it just got worse and worse. In hindsight the smart thing to do would have been to gybe and return to base. But there's allways the expectation of the wind coming back!

Just checked Real speed, from 1013 to 1224 I did 13.78Km, that includes a little bit of planning and a 16min sit on the board and wait for the wind to pick up to 2 or 3 knots, so I could uphaul.

The hour after I got back on the board I managed 6.51Km which saw me not quite back to base. Must be the slowest hour I've ever done sailing continuously, certainly put payed to my distance hopes.
