Pinnaroo Point, Starboard Acid 80, Ezzy 5.2, select wave 25

Well powered on the 5.2, wind was really consistent -- about as consistent as a normal seabreeze!  Can't believe that.  Happy with the speed for the conditions and gear, swell was much higher than normal for Pinaroo.  Even managed to get washed around in the shorebreak a couple of times!  Yes I am a big girls blouse.

Safety Bay, WA, AU

I thought the wind was pretty constant for a winter low, 15 to 25 knots all day.  First time at Safety Bay - really enjoyed it.

Really friendly locals - broke my boom and a local guy I hadn't met before lent me one - thanks mate.

Anybody have a boom for sale 1.7 to 2.10m or thereabouts?

Pelican Point, WA. XF102, KA6.6

Quick blat off Peli. Up and down, mostly down. Not as cold as I thought it would be. Nice to get out.

Melville Beach, WA, AU

F2 SX M,6.7mtr and 7.5 mtr O.D,38cm GW and 40cm Kai

Rigged the 6.7 when it was gusting and soon realised the hard way that I was underpowered, rigged the 7.5 and felt much better.

All in all it was a enjoyable and frustrating sail

Safety bay today with a quite a few crew out and about. Just about got 6.3 settled and then the boom snapped in two (100th time Yell) , so limped in and got the spare but it looked pretty dodgy so decided against putting it on the 6.3 and went with the 5.4 instead. Pretty underdone on this setup most of the time but managed a few 35's out of it. Bank was almost out of the water at this point and the 28 was depth-checking even the deeper bits!!Surprised Good fun trying to milk some speed out of that bullet at the end, probably the flattest I've seen it behind the bank but also quite a short run. Not a bad days outing Cool

Never really got settled today.

Used all sorts of combinations of Sonic 100/ Elmo 29 weedy / nonose/ KA23/ LB7/Warp 5.7

But..... I am ALPHAMAN!Cool First time to beat Snake at Sbay (even if I did have 1.6m more sail and 15L of boardEmbarassed)

Good squall at the end.

Respect to Slowy / Darryl.

Great to see a real SRM team outing.

Great team outing for a winter's day and a bump up the table.

Congrats on more PBs, JJLaughing

Challenging conditions at Safety Bay today.

15-35K, so really tough picking the right gear.

I rigged my 6.6 TR7 and spent most of the arvo under-powered.  Used the Futura 111, 93 S-Type and SP47 at various points throughout the day.  Tide was really low, so the F111 + 40 choco weedie wasn't really the right choice as I kept running aground.

Briefly lit up on the S-Type for my alpha, and briefly massively over-powered on the speed board for my 2 sec peak going pretty much across the breeze in a 35 knot bullet.  I bottled out when I should've pulled the trigger and gone for the bearaway, but I was just too powered up to want to go downhill.

Props to Darryl and Slowie for impressive numbers on a tough day. Cool

The Snake also going quick on the slalom combo and Mr Consistency Captain Lao representing as always.

Great turnout on a pretty bloody cold and bleak arvo.

Cruise at Melville on Old Yella. Good fun launching off the wake of stinkboats and good to catch up with the usual Melville crowd. Jeff was looking good on his new iSonic

With that lovely breeze blowing it was really painful for me to stay home and cook for a dinner party tonight. So sorry I couldn't be out there with you all Frown. Sounds like it was a day that was tough on booms though!

Good boost up the table guys! Keep those PB's comin' JJ!

Great team effort Cool jj three BP's, well done mateSmile I did consider it when the daughters house Reno's were going a little bung. In the end I toughed it out. Nearly sorted, so water time coming. That's if I can remember the few skills I haveCry

for some reason wasn't really motivated to go down this arvo quite lucky really can't afford to risk my spare boom Embarassed

but decided i would start work on a board SP gave me to play with got rid of the nose and rails and started re shaping the rails

i understand why it was not the lightest of boards

the amount of carbon and glass in it's outer layers is just bomb proof and painstakingly slow to sand no matter what tools i use

oh well patients will be needed but i can already see as bits and pieces take shape it should turn out alright

old dimensions 280 x 57

new dimensions 229 x 49 (subject to change over the next few weeks Wink)

checked the weight today and wasn't suprised to see that even with nose and rails gone it comes in at just under 6kg

so it's not really going to be a light weight (can make up for my lack of weight Wink)

but i've still got a bit more to take off so should come in around the 6kg mark when done
