Summer's back! Top afternoon of sailing. The main aim was to get a decent hour - I was hoping to get over 20kts, but a crash half way through put paid to that unfortunately. It was a nasty one actually - my front foot came out of the strap in a gust and I went head first into the sail. My back's a bit sore as a result - hopefully it will be ok for tomorrow's NE'r... The trip over to Kurnell was fun. I thought it would help the hour not to be gybing all the time, but once beyond the runway, the chop limited my speed and I probably would have done better to stay in the sheltered water. 4 PBs though - woohoo! | ||||||||||||||||||

Tabou Rocket 140, Loft 02 7.4m, Select 36 cm fin. Not a good sail at the lake. Missed the best of the wind, got on the water at about 5.15pm. It was quite gusty and not that strong. At least I could go to Ben Severne's information evening.
