Fairly winday ENE on the Lake. Hard work on the Longboard, did a bit of swimming. Choppy, difficult conditions. See if I beat Dad in anything.

Severne Reflex 8.6, Mistral Equipe.

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU

NE Gusty and max at about 22 knots. Very choppy - the infamous short sharp lake chop!

Raceboard training with Ben - interesting getting the Phantom setup for these conditions. Very good session.Smile Max speed on the Phantom was 25.8 knots.

Short blast on the slalom board after the training - the lake was a bit low to have a good run on the weed flats,

SB Phantom 377, SV R2 9.2 (great in the conditions), Deb R13 52

JP SS 109, NP V8 6.5, Limey weedy.

Culburra Beach, NSW, AU

Great day out on the water today, less and less water but this place still ROCKS! Plenty of wind and even some good ramps today, Maxed on my 6.2 Alpha and 112 JP FSW, Could have done with a 5.4 and my 95L no problem. Good to see a few more sailors enjoying this place, There was 8 of us out today and we all had a great time.....Best thing is we get to do it all again tomorrow.

Safety Bay, WA, AU

Another day at Safety Bay. Today was great, and much more like the seabreezes I remember.

I started out with a 6.5m Ezzy Infinity and a 116L Mistral Syncro, and then changed to a 115L S-type at the end.

It was a shame I couldn't make it down for a sail, but the situation kind of changed for me on day one of the holiday.

Maybe see you in Jan / Feb for a weekend and check out a lake somewhere...

PB's everywhere great stuff.

I had a session in the early arvo at Jervis bay great place to sail.

A question can you only post the one session in a day? Had another 35km on the bay which could help with our overall KM's

Hi Darren, my guess is that as long as its on the same day, it counts:

"Sessions will be defined as windsurfing sessions by team members on the same date, however, the location can be different for different team members."

I don't know how you join them together though. I imagine taking the best results from each, and adding the Kms for distance should be okay though, as long as it matches the overall GPS data recorded.

Hi guys, there is a bit of a guide here on the GPSTC page to combine files with Realspeed.  The unregistered version can do it.

http://www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au/pages/guides/combining_files

Lucky you getting to sail at Huskisson - cant wait to get down there again soon.

Dylan from ka72 here.

Provided you have got the data logger turned on in your GPS, you can combine files straight from your GT-31 too. In the menu, go to the Data Logger, and select "Write to card". A combined file will be written, which you can then upload to ka72.com.

These files have a different name, and will include the last few thousand points, so it may be several days of sailing, but the website and the other software is smart enough to split it into separate days of sessions (and combine the data from within each day.)

This depends on you having set up your GPS properly, but it is also a great backup for times when your GPS just fails to write to card successfully, so it is worth knowing about.

Dylan.
