Pittwater

Early morning sail on the new 2012 Isonic 107. Board feels great, sailed with 42cm C3 Sting 2 and old Code Red 7.5.

Klaas Hartmann (1373km):
4712 days ago

Pittwater, 120L, 7.5m, 6.6m

Afternoon sail in challenging conditions -- gusty and bad chop direction. Started on 7.5m, hardly able to plane then got overpowered and half an hour later was in survival mode on a 6.6 before things dropped again to more reasonable wind speed. The NM and 2sec were on the last run home and made the walk in and out over the mud worthwhile.

Henty, TAS, AUS

Unfortunately today just didnt happen as we would have liked, but its always a bit of fun venturing to Henty. Well done to Russ for getting past New Norfolk and picking up some PB's on less than ideal winds, great to have you there with us Russ, many more to come hopefullyWink

The river is starting to change and its not looking too good, lost about 10-20 metres of width in the last half of the run which puts you closer to the dunes.  The edge is not as defined either, with shallow sandbars jutting out all down the runFrownCry  Happy with NMSmile, for now!

Well done on the PB's Russ, that must have made the trip in to Henty worthwhile!!  Pity the wind just didn't really blow enough or from the right direction.  Nice addition of points for the team though from you and Kaleb!

Well done Klass on your PB's, great stuff and sounds like it was pretty challenging conditions.  Won't be long before you hit 30 knots!

James, you still got a PB Nautical Mile, so not too shabby.  No doubt you're just starting to get into the groove ...

Nice speeds on the new 107 Steve, especially in those strong winds with the 7.5!!

Team Perks, neck and neck on 37, well done guys, sounds like you are having a ball and getting heaps of sailing in.  Awesome!!

Ray, good you managed to get out again today.  Just saw the news this morning and there was a 5m great white spotted at Port Sorell yesterday just 50m out from the shore.  Guys in a boat took video of it and said it hung around for about an hour - gulp!  Glad I didn't take the speed board out there the day before, as I would have been floundering a lot!!

Well done Russ and Klaas on PBs.

There was a photo of the white pointer in yesterdays paper it was HUGESurprised

Well done Russ, Klass and James on the pbs. Russ, I heard you going up and then not going up. Good thing you went up thereLaughing

Kaleb, looks funny seeing that 36 knot NM and its not even a PB, nice oneLaughingWell done on the NM JezLaughing

Klass, its better to go to Pitwater on a high tide and then you dont have to walk. When I was out yesterday it came in a solid 50 knots for about half an hour and that was recorded at the airport just around the corner. All I could do was sit on my board and wait it out because I was stuck out in the middleYell

Go team Perks, I am suprised you could see any NP sails amongst all those Severne sails out thereWink

Well done Rusky, you made it to Henty!! One up on me. Well done on the PB's guys, and 36 for an NM Buzzy. Sounds like you all should have stayed at Hawley with the shark. Easty I can believe it more being 50km off shore, media love to dramatise. Not much happening here yesterday arvo, the usual gusty NW, couldn't be bothered with it.

Nice PB's James and Klaas Cool Russss great you came away with us and glad you had fun! Good to get a dads army member away with us, its hard work getting you guys to come Wink Pitty it was a bit average, but 3 PB's you have to be happy with that Smile 40 next time and we can both ride our SP 95's and SP 60's WinkSmile I should have had the 6.3 up just so unerpowered on the 5.5, need to lift my game BIG time Yell, not a good couple of days speed wise Cry I'm stiff from all the walking!

No PB Kaleb but a 36NM nice work, just the norm for you though Wink

sharks at Port Sorrel... you should see the reports of some of the WPs seen inside the pond at Safety Bay- aka "the beaver" where the Perks and young James have been hitting the last few days. Some @sshole local goes out shark fishing in the channel right where and when everyone is sailing/kiting. yep... thats rockingham.
