Windxtasy (13938km): Pelican Point, WA, AU 6.4K, F111, 40CF Desperate for a sail, and it wasn't too bad. Warm, sunny and planing most of the time. Got the best of the wind I think. Lulls got longer toward the end Surprised there were so few sailors out when the forecast for the next few days is so dismal. Nice to catch up with Patrick after a long time no see.
lao shi (41082km): WW East, took the big gear out and surprised when it booted in at 9 for about 30 mins. Fanging around with Snides and Cheryl. LB7.8, Bubba, CF42. Just had word that there are some big numbers to come out of the Albany road trip!
JJ (25827km): Albany, WA, AU
Awesome sail at Albany with Darryl, Hardie, Decrepit, Alby, Yoyo and Evets. Super flat water for about 400m behind a shallow sandy area, really weedy in parts but no problem getting through the weed at high speed. Rainy and murky but a nice 20 to 30 knots. A bit overpowered at times but too much fun holding the pressure down the runs Couldn’t quite fit a NM in (about 200m short end to end) – still stoked with my single attempt boosted with a 40.7 peak at the end through the flats Well worth the drive (thanks Evets). Great to have another flat water option. Mistral 47, Hot Sails GPS 6.6 (too big), Vector DWS 21 |
