Safety Bay, WA, AU

Sweet session at SB with Rod and then a couple of locals for company. Wind around 18 knots, occasional 20 knot gusts. Sunny.

A bit too shallow to go down the main bar and too square because of the southerly wind, but still pretty flat inside of the bar.

NM was the wrong way round from the sandbank to Pengos - not quite distance but a good bear away in a southerly.

Tested the Futura which now has a modified bottom thanks to Adam (Man Overboard) - flatter rocker and sharper rails, really happy with the speed and so comfortable to ride.

Was over the speed gear after yesterday's combat!Undecided Resisted JJ's call for a road trip. No GPS

Went to Dutchies to see Jonah supping in to some nice waves. Wind was Southerly and very patchy. When he came in saying that there was enough in the gusts it was time to rig my new (2nd hand Severne S1 5.9) and take it for a spin.

Wind built and for a period there was consistent swell (at Dutchies!!???) and great cross shore wave riding to be had.

Awesome to watch Graham Woods punching out loops in both directions landed dry and sweet tweaked aerials!Surprised

Best ever wave riding session at Dutchies for me!Cool A number of waves with three turns. and only 4/5 sailors out for most of the time!Laughing

So much easier to get in the right place with speed in the cross shore conditions. Even had a full free fall off the lip top turn and can see where the aerial happens even if I am not that sure what to do when i get there?.

Awesome wavy goodness!!!!!Tongue out That's better!

Severne S1 2010 was really light in the hands and not too big to work with the board and makani weed twins. Love the big window which makes trying to spot the wave downwind much easier.

Certainly haven't reached the limits of this board it keeps rewarding my efforts.

Severne S1 5.9, Rider x-onshore, makani weed twins

Well done JJ, and Snakey!!!

Serendipitous post there Jake - Lao hit the waves today so I thought I might be on my own.

Nice numbers and a boost up the ladder - give us a report when you can. Have a great time.

Hello from Budapest!

Good to see you are getting some wind at last. Looks like it was just waiting for me to leave the country. My family have been telling me about the cold and rain but have been neglecting to tell me about the wind... Glad to see some of you have brought your gear out of mothballs and have gone sailing. Well done team! Great to see Snake posting a score. I see he is enjoying sunny Cocos Island again. We have had two weeks of fine sunny weather in Europe with daily maxima between 25 and 31 degrees. Pretty Idyllic. There has only been more than 5 knots of wind on one day though. We got very close to the Austrian World Cup windsurfing lake today but I was rather distracted because my big toenail had just been ripped out of my foot as I was geting onto the train. No shoes for a while for me!

I hope you get more wind and some good scores.

Anita
