Slalom race day round 1. Great fun, gybing around the bouys was interesting in the strong wind and dodging bodies. Some great free sailing afterwards.

4015 days ago 1 categories Pipe Clay Lagoon, slalom racing. Started with Exocet 84l wave board and ka wave sail 4.7. Was a bit under done and wouldn't point quite high enough but made for an easy start to the racing. Then used IS90 carbon and R3 5.6. Wish I had of gone out on it a bit earlier as I was just really starting to get going properly on it in the last race.

Another great sail at the Lagoon, but this time racing six full-on slalom races!! Great fun. Lots of action. Well done to competitors, the race organiser and the race officials!! We need to do this more often!

Good day massive overpoweres mega arm pump fairly happy with my resluts but not happy with body condition faded to a survival mode rather than racing for the last couple, was some great tight tustles in the top 5 or so places and after round one not much in it

Put the GPS on, for a few runs after racing.
Awesome days racing. With 12 others? Wrecked my 5.8 first run before racing. Luckily the 5.8 evo6 is on the way. So had to battle it, in a solid 30knots wind. On the 6.4. Very good fun and every one was smoking through the coarse. Managed 3rd overall after 6 races, in a close battle back to 6th or so? Cheers to kaleb for the event, of the Tas rouund1 slalom.

Great day of racing and then blasting around after the races.
I used the 101, R3 5.6 and DW 34cm for racing but board was way too big, should have used the 90.
Well done Kaleb for organising and winning the 1st round.
Well done on the PB Will, smoking alpha.
Great work to everyone who competed in some very challenging conditions.

Fast and furious racing for first round of state titles! There was a fleet of 12 competing in the cold and super windy conditions.
Had a shocking start, last one of the start line and crashed 100mts later but managed to put 2 or 3 respectable places together!
Was a great event thanks to kaleb ect for organising

East Coast sail with Gabe and Pete from the Marauders good to meet you guys (and Chris and Jo)Thanks for the loan of your GT31 Gabe
The conditions today were tough to say the least I was overpowered on the Ka 5.8 and the Exocet RS2 so it was more survival than speed. Friendly Beaches measured 38 kts at 10.30 when we were out no wonder it was choppy out in the middle. The lagoon was about 2 ft deeper than normal (up to my neck) so it was rough no flat water anywhere
Bit cold for the visitors today the car said 9.0C but constant rain and wind chill didn't help
