Surprisingly there was enough wind for a sail. Lauched over Sidney Barbour bridge with the kiters. Enough wind for a pleasant sail, my gybes were so uch better today on th Iso than ever before due to gybing practice on the 54. Great fun.
38 mins on the water. It was sooo easy on the iso, reminds me of how doing distance on big kit in pleasant wind can be comfortable.

Fun little session, started out wityh a blast over to Claudesville with the pointer on unfortunately the mast foot was a touch to far forwards so got a bit of brain rattle going on.
Came back did the tweek, just did runs out to the chanell marker and back but kept on picking up the sticky weed which seems to be proliferating fucking up the area making it difficult to use a pointer.
Changed to the weedy straight up another 4 knots but the wind was fading a few more runs around the marker and a sweet gybe in front of base which nobody saw so I don't know if it happened or not.
Fun afternoon out with a lot of happy faces. Woo hoo

Big day for the new 17cm 55deg stainless leading edge ply/carbon super weedy, (think I need to shorten that a bit, maybe Fred?)
Started off badly, I tried it in the 65cm board with the 7.0, no control at all! Going around in circles, couldn't pull any power on, total disaster!
So changed to the good old 31 cm woody weedy, instant control back, managed to trip speed genie a couple of times with mid to low 27s. But still didn't feel comfortable, as I was a bit overpowered, decided to try "Fred" in the 53 with the 5.8. That felt heaps better, but very underpowered, couldn't trip speed genie.
So getting no where decided to pack up, noticed the 7.0 had hardly any downhaul, (I'd pulled as much on as I could and hoped it was enough) With the sail wet I was able to get another couple of cms and that looked a lopt better, so plugged it into the 53 with "Fred". Took off in the shallows and emediately felt good, got a gust so followed it down through the inside of the rock garden, (Yeah Fangy I see your adiction with scaring crabers!) Absolutely magic, once this fin is in shallow weedy water it comes alive. The water was almost dead flat for 2km, went straight through weedburgs without feeling them. Hitting the boat channel chop was a rude awakening though, it's amazing how much this fin loves flat shallow weedy water but hates deep choppy water!
Goes upwind well, had a great run back through the shallows, but got too cocky, went for one last weedburg, and catapaulted in front of the derigging crew.
Came up with the blue parts of the new boom head floating off downwind, pleased with my patch of the tail piece though, that stayed together!
Low tide, 7.0 sail, inside rock garden!
And this is how I did it.
