Great sail today, I dont have to pull an angry or shamed face!!  Very Happy!! Great Conditions, mainly focussed on Alphas, too buggered at end to go for speed, just one attempt, got a 37.59kt.  In alphaland did a couple of bearaways on failed gybes mainly 34's.  TR-7 6.3m, The gybing machine the Manta 54, and Decrepit weed 22.  When wind picked up and water got choppy I wasnt skillful enough to stop myslef from falling in and stuffing up my 2 fastest gybes ever, oh well, I'm not an elite sailor, just a good average sailor, who enjoyed his windsurfing as much as ever todayCool

Well Done fangy, welcome to the 30kt club.

Short session on the Coodanup flats before I had to pick up snot gobblers from school. Probably missed the best wind but i was out on the 6.0 Brontosorearse (thanks elmo) wave sail on the outside as the tide was too low to get into Delta land inside the weed bank. I will post more later - I have to go and be responsible parent for a bit and feed the the little blighters -  but its enough to say I am absolutely stoked to have FINALLY got past 30 knots!!!Laughing

And just whilst I have got the page to myself and before the big kids come on and post speed numbers that belong on a Star Trek episode: a big thank you to all the people that have posted and encouraged me along. Although I have not met a lot of you, it has been great to be part of a big and fantastic family. THANK YOU ALL!

Had a lot of fun today, went out with Dot about 1430, nicely powered up on the 5,8 with the 48 and 20cm deep, wide weedy.

Wind picked up so I changed the wide weedy for the 19.5 woody weedy, surprised how well this held the 5.8, was fully expecting it to be a tad small.

Joined Hardie doing alphas, but my gybes were a little unco today, I got away with it in the lulls, but in the gusts it all fell apart. Should have changed down to the 5.0, may be that would have given Hardie a better back up.

Great stuff Fangy, welcome to the 30 club, not bad going in conditions before kid pick up time.

As the windpicked up it also got more choppy, I actually went slower in the stronger wind.

Woo hoo FangymanCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCool

Great little session tonight with Pedro and Evets, very low tide made for some interesting chop on the way to the rock garden, so we spent most of the time launching from the Manbra mob secret lazyboy lauch site®™

Was a whole lotta fun sailing with Steve which is something we don't get to do much since he emigrated to Albanyakastan he had that Speed 54 flying tonight.

Pedro I think I may have to bond some shopping bags to his fins (the green ones not the plastic ones)Wink shop him our Manbra mob secret lazyboy lauch site®™and he goes and wipes the floor with us whilst having that Patented Pedro grin. Good seeing you out on the water.

Mucho fun only damage tonight was to my cammel pack which after many repairs may have to be finally retired.

Good times good timesCoolCoolCool

Nice work Fangman. Last man out at Lano over the weekend and now a thirty while we all work, all those choppy onshore long runs from mainbreak point to the island and back would have made today super smooth and locked in.

Well done on the 30 Fangy.... I did it on my first atempt ( they get you hooked with a free trail.... thanks Hardie and Binny, that was over 5 years ago) and then it took me a year to do it again. As Windxtasy has said you did it quickly :-)

Great to be out there last night, 220 km journey for an hour of sailing was well worth it. I had forgotten how lumpy the estuary can be :-(  a bit embarrasing that as it was pretty flat! And as for getting MH PBs for 2s and 5x , I am one very very happy. Add to that sailing with a great friend encouraging me each run: that was just awesome!
