Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU

6m 2004 Aerotech VMG, Custom Slalom, Keef Weedy 17cm Small base

Was gusty as hell but I managed to hold it all together and got a 39.02 1 sec peak, almost got my 40kt goal. Everyone had a ball today. Big congrats to Alex and Elli, they did a great job. Should be a heap of PB's for the gustbusters today :)

Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU that was a big one a lot of fun, got the exocet missile out for the first time in over a year, I remember now this board scares me and then some part of body or board went through my new sailFrown but a quick patch with the good old Bear tape and back on the water with the trusty old 84L exocet cross, the 5.2 was more than enough. some great speeds I see well done at the weed bed.

I am so proud of the kids today!

Elli was awesome again today improving on her already great achievement on Wednesday in even stronger wind.  She improved her speed even though she was using a 1.5 metre sail.  Great work Elli!  I think I also saw you trying to jump!  Can't wait to see you on the smaller board and once you start using the harness consistently in strong wind!

Alex's effort today was incredible and as it turns out world class!  Alex beat the PB he set on Wednesday using the 3.0 XS1 but was still half a knot under 30 knots.  Even though he had just been to the orthodontist yesterday and had a really sore mouth, he was determined enough to rig up his 3.6 in really strong wind for a final attempt at the 30 knot barrier.  Fantastic effort and it paid off!  You have done it Alex!  Congratulations on this milestone!  Now ranked number 1 all time in the kiddies category!

Considering Alex has been in the GPSTC for a while now, it is also a great achievement to manage to improve the 2sec and 5x10 for 3 sessions in a row!!!

Unbelievable day for the Gustbusters today.  Mudskipper and Rick - congratulations on your PBs and great sailing today.  It was bad luck Keith, the gear didn't cooperate and still suffering from injuries but your team definitely benefitted from your fins, boards and wisdom!

Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU im not saying anything about my day today but what about a great team effortTongue out what a great ballsy  effort from alex , i was haveing trouble running off the wind with a 5.5 and alex rigged a bigger sail 3.0 to a 3.6 to snatch a world record , woo hoo

again i was in trouble getting going and down comes elli , jibes in front of me and caught a bit of weed , it was slowing her down so she started pumping like hell to get rid of it or to go faster , she was in at least 25nts at that stage and sailed out to the huge chop jibed and came screaming in on a 30knt gust , onya elli

also what a great effort from mudskipper with over 39 on the dial with a 22.48 hr and 75k's in huge chop and holding down a 6m race sail on an old falcon with a 17cm weed fin , it also sticks him in 18th spot for the year

another great effort from arky on my speed board in some huge chop , i'm glad it was him rideing it Laughing

it was good to see troll in the weed beds and smasing his sandy point PB's

good to see mick on his slalom gear and having a go in the weed beds , sorry about the  brand new sail mick those short weedies dont like a heavy foot ouch

Mike sail too big 5.5 , fin to big (18cm long base ) and I didnt want to push it because of hand fracture Cry, theres  one thing that came out of today's session, the fin works but it just needs a much bigger sail and great news for shallow water sailing

hey mike these kids are absloleutly amazing , just watching them progress is an absoleute buzz , im a proud gustbusterTongue out

MT congratulations on those fantastic speeds , mudskippers on a mission for 40knts for sanctury point  do you want join himWink

Great PB's guys and Alex your now faster than him hes be dying to break the 30 be sure to rub it in his face next time u see him (hes a marauder :-P ). Dad and I went to Wallace lake and had a great time but the wind didnt come in like we hoped and we had to walk along the sandbar for ages untill the wind was any good but all in all still a good day. Way underpowered on the 2.7.

Great effort everyone! What a day. I wish I was there to sail the new weed bank and reclaim last years local record! That's good speeds for Sanctuary Point! Were you guys getting 37 knots in the open water too or just behind the weed bank.

Wow Alex, congratulations on getting 30knots.  Not many 12 year olds can say they've windsurfed let alone gone over 30 knots.  40 knots next.

Congrats too on all the other PBs.
