Port Sorrell, TAS, AU

FINALLY......... Decided to take a risk and head out. Only got my cast off Thrus, after breaking my arm. It felt alright after hanging from the roof truss, in the shed. So i went down to have a look. To find full length of sand up, from island to shore. And the wind just smoking off the water. Up to 47knots!!! Rang Jordo to see if he was keen and we decided to give it a go. Got out just after the majority of the wind, but managed a few cautious runs.

How lucky are we!?! Bath like water, 25deg, flat water with wind and only myself, Jordo and Todd joined us later.

Will be interesting to see how all the guys went at Stanley.

Port Sorell, TAS, AU No magic runs from me today. Which was a bit disappointing as when it blew it blew! Good to see Izaak back on the H2O, welcome back brother :P

Stanley, TAS, AU, Nicely powered up for the first part of the session, then the wind increased (gusting to 45kn). I had trouble

handling the 6.2 in those conditions. Great to see Dave and Steve make the trip from the south.

Nice sail sail at Stanley with a few of the boys again. Not the most easiest sail for speed, due to quite square and a bit gusty. Managed to get some nice numbers, pleased with the day. Nice to be on pryde!

Certainly worth the trip up to Stanley.  Great to be out with a good crew.  Lighter to begin with. but quite solid for the last couple of hours.  Just a bit too square for runs down the bar, but still some good speeds to be had by running off the wind into the chop.  Well done to all with PB's and fantastic effort Perks, you were hooting.

Great day on the water with the guys. Nice to finally meet Barry and Cookie. I counted 7 Severne sails and one lonely NP sailWink

Hard work and my first sail on a speed course since last April. I was struggling a bit today to get those bigger numbers. I counted about 10 runs over 39 but could not get over 40. Then Dave pointed out I wasnt sailing close enough to the bank. Then my next run was a 40.68 on the dial but unfortunately that dropped below 40 when I posted, arrgghhh. We came in shortly after that, but a good learning curve for next time.

Well done to Perks who was on a mission and Stew for the PB. Well done Ben on your PBs at the Lagoon, fantastic effort.

Cheers guys. I'm just pleased to see my favourite stomping ground is worthy of "the list" once again. I reckon with a weedy and a little more talent than I have there's 40 knots to be had out there

Great stuff Ben and Stew and top 3 all time for you Steve so close to another 40 Good speeds all round team. I get jealous this time of year looking at your post but someone has to harvest the poppies to make the drugs to keep some of us more senior speed sailors pain free!!
