Lilcas, what a magic place.  Second best alpha ever, and it felt easy, had 2 over 26kts, lots of 25's.  Great to see Mike again, and sail with him and steve, Fave gear Manta 54, TR-9 6.3m, Pepeweed, 24cm, 42degree rake.

Lilacs WA

Jp54 RSREII 7.0 MXR24speed weed.

Great session with Hardie and Decrepit. Bit cold after lunch but consisent wind and flat water was sooooo goood.

Did two 18.27 hoours, pity the second included a break at the start and end. Hoping for wind to continueover the next few daysCool

Tried  NM on the normal run but wind too broad ( too much south in it) and ended too mile soon. Then did a reverse mile, from Amity side to kiters beach. This is the 27.97

The water was high and therefore choppy initially. By the time the tide had dropped and the wind picked up I was too tired to alpha really well (althougfh my best alpha was my last one!)

Back on WA water, detoured to Albany for a 4 day Lilacs forecast.

Great to sail with Hardie and Evets, loads of fun!

We're in cottage 3, closer to the water than we've been before, so nice being able to de-rig at your back door and jump in a hot shower.

Day one turned out very pleasant, not ideal Albany, bit too much water this time, and too much south in the wind making the run very broad, and it seems choppy. In the arvo the wind swung about 10-15deg further east and strengthened, but chop seemed to decrease, no apparent change in water level.

Graunched my fin trying to get upwind for the NM attempt, thought the increased water level would let me get in where you can't. Took me ages to get back into deep enough water to sail. Thought the fin would collect heeps of weed, and be very slow, but didn't notice much difference, in fact got my best speeds on the following NM attempt.

Tried some alphas, but my best tack, (going in on port) was a bit choppy in the gybe area. starbord tack was nice and smooth but my step gybes are just too slow in the transition, needs a lot more practice.

Nice work lads, the other/better Three Stooges of MM are coming to join you on Sunday! So put in a bit of practice before we get there. And Hardly just looking at you distance and your speeds - I reckon you have got to the point where you sex life lasts longer than your sailingTongue out

Very high tide Sunday means it will not be perfect, and to make it worse the best wind on sunday in late in the arvo. Should still be pretty good by Mandurah standards around lunch time!

Evets, champagne comedy my man, you are on a roll of late. I am still laughing at the ' good words in good order' effort with Elmo :-)

I cannot take credit for the ''words reply Fangman, that was rippped off from Monty Python. I think it was the novel writing sketch where a critic points out that it is not just the number of words that makes a good novel but the order.

Hope to see you Sunday.
