Melville Beach, WA, Patrik FSW102, Cross 5.6m, Choco weedy

Very quick blat, super fun in the strongest wind since Sunday @ Cervantes. Great combo, grab some air off the chop or blast into the shallows.

Melville. 101 Futura. Rigged up 7m first, and it was a handful. My  forearms were pumped within 15 minutes.
Swapped for 6m which was much better, but the arm pump made me leave early as I couldn't hold onto the boom any more.

A pity. I was really hopeful for some hours of fun.
Still great fun. It's been 2 monhts since the last sail. Nice to catch up with JJ and Hardpole, and meet Colin.

Melville Beach, WA

Solid 25 knot gusts with lots of crew  out.

Super fun doing NMs out into the channel cruising down some sizeable swells Cool

Mistral 91, GPS 6m, CL SL1 28 (magic fin in the chop)

Melville Beach, WA, AU

Inspired by CL I went for the 115l PD - I will have to rename this board to the Chop-Eater - and a short 34cm Vector fin.. And it sure worked in the VERY choppy conditions. Very happy with a few new PBs.!

Can someone pls explain how I get the BGT-11 to save the file on the card as opposed to the build in memory. I cant figure out what setting to change and the instructions are not that great..

Melville Beach, WA, AU 105Rocket, 26weed and 24LeadingEdge, 6.6SSR. Far better than yesterday although at times not enough to water start. I started with weed 26 and I was spinning out over 30kts. Changed to strait, just 24 - hell of a difference, suddenly only the lack of power was limiting my speed, Smile, until I noticed that my arms are shorter on one tack. The rope inside the pipe gave up and it was stretching. So my hour went, changing harness line. I nearly got to Pelican Point but it was not a good idea. Very twisty there. Good to see so many people. One did a gybe in to me at 50 k/h. If he did not drop in the water in time we would be in splinters. His boom just rubbed my legs. Still hips of fun.

After a fun day yesterday couldn't summon up the enthusiasm for a Melville flogging.

Hoped that the wind would steady and swing but looking out the window it was super gusty and rainingCryEmbarassed

Finally dragged myself off the sofa about 3pm

Looked at the ocean and it was a mess so decided to go to Wallyworld for a soft outing on the wave gearSurprised

Usual gusty as but pretty flat for the direction.

Good opportunity to work on Starboard tack chop hops and fully committed gybes.

Coodanup, WA, AU

Xfire 90 and 5.4 overdrive, should have gone with the 6.0.

Similar conditions to Friday except stronger wind in the squalls, the 5.4 was way to big in the strong gusts and under powered in the lighter stuff. I think I might have ben better with a bigger sail and ben powered up in the lighter wind inbetween to take advantage of the flatter water, and just sat out the squalls

A good day out Hooksey, 4 PB's, and very nice ones too. Can't wait to see what you can do with some flat water!

Alan, great to see you backing up with another long drive today, and rewarded with another PB. Great effort! Hope you had fun!

Nice work team! Pinnaroos into 6th spot! Great effort!

Pointy, I was hoping you would get out today. Your very useful naughty backup pushed us up another notch on the ladder.Well done on the nm JJ & Greg!

Jeff, great to see you sailing again. Remember I still have your delta fin.

Another excellent team performance yesterday - 10 sailors out! I am so proud of you all, especially those who sailed two days running in those wintry conditions. I was trying to get down to Melville to see you all yesterday but couldn't fit it in between other engagements.

Congrats on the PBs guys.

Hooksey, I used CL SL2 fins for the slaloms - I had the same quiver as you - and they work really well. I could go as small as 34cm in the 135. I never got to try a smaller one in the 100L. If you had to pick just three I would go 44, 38, 34. Perfection would be 46,42,38,34,30.
