Mad session out with JJ. We were the only 2 out till around 1:30 when we decided that it may be wise to give it away while there are no injuries. Pretty wild conditions out there with only a small flat section to play with.

Thanks for the loan of your gear JJ (MxR fin and F2 81lt) got the max speeds out of that.

Manic morning session with Lunny at SB - 23 to 33 knots.

WNW wind and tide over the jetty meant rolling swells in the pond then 25 metres of flat water off the tip of the sandbar, then crashing to a stop on the waves hitting the bar. Runs probably only 100m long - too short for a decent 10 sec.

Happy to see a 39.23 display although that run like most of the others ended in a crash (fin was awesome but found its limits in the waves). Felt a bit battered and had to swim like hell for the gear, next land over 2 miles away.

A top session Cool

Well done Craig for smashing out fast runs today - probably the roughest I've experienced at SB.

long time since my last sail

thought about a treck but went with the lazy option at melville

water wasn't too rough for how strong the breeze was especially over the bar through the weed Yell

still got caught out, my fastest run finished rather abruptly when i ran out of flat water

so i got tired pretty quick and feeling a bit sore after my crash for the day called it quits after a short sesh

5.1 reflex 4

91 mistral sl (went out first on this, got my fastest run, was pretty cumfy)

44 clockwood speed (stupid idea to use a speed board went slower and struggled)

24 scarrgo weedy (still struggled to get through some spots of weed on the bar)

Nuts session after the W word trying to back up JJ after he texted me with his speed from SBay.

When I arrived people were overpowered on 5m!Surprised Rigged the 5.6 with lots of downhaul, put 5kg in the jacket and went in search of something not resembling a moghul field. No chance!

There was a big weed bank just inshore from the bar posts. Glass even in nuking wind. Decided to see if I could skirt it and lost ending in a big crash!Yell

Decided to look elsewhere and the only runs were in to the kite area jumping over the back of breaking waves heading in to shore!Surprised

Tried a run back in to the car park but was greated with a ramp coming at me at full tilt which resulted in crash with bruised shoulder and knee. Wind wasn't getting any lighter (gusts to 30+) so decided to quit before I did some real damage.

Have to be impressed with how well the board handled the conditions apart from the weed it was only one piece of pilot error that saw me come unstuck.

Loft Blade 5.6, Mistral SL91, Choco 27 weed.
