3780 days ago If wind keeps picking up expect interesting numbers from WA today. Too windy for my reflexes and muscle twitch fibers, bad leg couldnt respond fast enough, so called it quits. No GPS for me for a while, glad I didnt wear one today, found some noice flat water and some decent gusts, I woulda been tempted if I had the gps on . Just glad to be back on the water , too windy to sail back, so walked my board for 2 kms in uneven sandy bottom, which was probably good exercise for the leg.

one of those days..
in between dayshift and nightshift so the mandurah option not really there.
the local is very shallow at the moment so have to use a very short fin or a delta.
wind a bit gusty to start and swinging between s/sw .
started out on the 102 rrd x fire with a 22 muf delta with a 7.8 severne R4 and changed to a
casp50 with a 23 c3 slingshot and a 7.0 R3 when it got up a bit.
peak speeds on the ca.

Blowin' a bit at Nairns. Capt'n and Fangy already out and ripping it. Fin and I rigging up and blowing 18-20 knots so I rigged North 5.3 m2 on The Capt'ns spare 90l Speedster. Whooo, it can go a bit too! I felt well overpowered on the 5.3 and the downwind stuff was staggeringly nerve-wracking but the sail locker was empty. Pretty choppy in most areas but OK over the top of the main weed bed. I had a couple of runs but felt like Armageddon was just around the corner so I came in to carefully check my existing funeral plan. As the wind picked up I was happy to watch the big boys play and pick some tips from the more recent villains who had snuck into the car park...vis JJ, Rod, Basil, Paul, Stroppo and SaltyNuts. There were some serious velocities being achieved by them too! Tomorrow will be interesting...the finger from the Dark Side beckons...........

Took the arvo off work and headed north as Murphy's law says tomorrow will be a fizzer. Good wind on arrival, but not a lot of water. Tried sailing over the other side and had a few near misses in the shallow water. A few spin out issues trying a different fin and one wipeout - came down hard - sore neck now (glad I wore the hard hat). So confidence wasnt really up and didnt really have balls or skill to handle the conditions as the wind got stronger, so pulled the pin early. Hopefully will get in the groove next time. Looking forward to Round 2!
Fangy on fire!!! well done with the PB!

Another fantastic fangy day!
I started late morning with the 48cm board and avi 5.3 sail and latest 18cm 48deg weedy (used this fin all day). Wanted to try this combo for alphas before it got too windy. I was hoping for a 24+ but guess I wasn't too far off. When I came in for lunch lent this rig to Fin.
After lunch I rigged the 5.0 on the 43cm board, and tried a few NMs. Started to feel a tad uncomfortable on the 5.0, so decided to try the 4.4. Tha was more comfortable and produced the best speeds. I guess I should have tweaked the 5.0 first, may have been faster.
Pleased with the results, 5x10 is my 4th best and NM is 2nd best, slowly creeping up on that 33.
Think I'll give KA72 a chance at a 2nd opinion on these numbers, it just may be a tad more generous.
So close it's not worth bothering about.

My boards got a bit of a work out today, the 53cm with Keef's 17cm deltoid bolted in was first used by Wazza, then Basil and finally PaulWA, and Fin used the 48cm for a while. Out of my wagon load of gear, only the 5.8 and it's boom didn't get used.

3779 days ago Fangyland with, at times, a mental seabreeze along with Cap,n Calm, Wazzakamikaze, Fin, Barry, Paul, JJ, Stropoo, Grumpynuts, Rod and probably someone else that I have forgotten. Its not often I complain about having a board that is too big, but today 63 cms felt like way too much. I called it day after I found I just could not keep the board on the deck or keep control.
I came in suffering Green eyed Monsterjealousy at all the speed boards being broken out...sigh. But pretty stoked to do a decent nauti with a gybe in it.
Methinks there are going to be some big numbers out of Fangyland from the usual suspects....Will post more later - Xmas party to go to now :-)

Just for Anita : TOP TEN FANGY DAY....., actually it really was.😄

3779 days ago Safety Bay..
managed to dropped the class agaaain uups .. left 30mins earlier that last time so I could beat the coming tide.. Juuust made it, sailed with Chris from Pinaroo.. only 2 of us out there and 3-4 kiters. Bit hairy at time.
My last 2 sesh here are PB for me for the spot. Dont reccord to go that fast here before. Got stabbed by a cobbler on the sandbar after the 2nd run but I had to get the run done.. good to see the 40 on the screen at my local
Should have used the 47 as I was lagging to keep going on the 41, also the 18cm fin was a touch small to keep ground, but the small kit felt cool when gooooing
Well done team.. PBs boys
Foot feel better this morning after a bad night Finishing class today and Flying to gold coast tomorrow to be wiz my son .. no sailing for a while. Have fun all

Hi, first post. It was quite windy today. Had a go down at fangy land. Fangy himself lent me a fin so I could have a go on my own board. Wasn't much fun, board was too big and just kept spinning out. Decrepit then lent me his 90 litre board which was much better. Had great fun riding around on the "Wave Wand" and got the best speeds I have even had wearing a GPS. Used my old Neil Pryce RAF Jet 4.7
Mike here, I've edited Pauls figures from his .sbp file. for some reason the card files had seperated themselves into 12, too hard to join up.
