Officially the best day windsurfing in TAS! Port Sorell firing, state record claimed, but for how long! Amazing session with a great crew, its all about attitude, seperated the boys from men with some good gusts and unlucky if ya couldnt make it! Specaial to have a 47.00 on the dial! Also pumped on the 5 by ten ! She was on to say the least, great vibes with conditons and numbers getting better and better all day! Awesome fun and good hearted competition with numbers close as F+ck all day! Crazy, shit!So stoked!
Ah spose i should start sailing a bit more again, thank christ i had the day off!

A depressing sail with a lack of speed. Didn't do over 30.. did plane out of a gybe though, first time ever. good to try the 87 and I was suprised how much easier it was. Looking foward to tomorrow where I shall have my new 86!

Wow what a day, Port Sorell at it's best big crew out even a few Southerners.
There wasn't one person who turned up who didn't get a PB (apart from the late Stew)Oh just noticed I've pipped you now Stew awesome
Someone has to keep the country going though
Long time since I have seen so many high speed crashes where the top guns were bearing away out into the nasty chop Russ and James big crashes hooked in over 45kts and Ray wearing the boom in the face at speed. Good thing there are no sharks at PS plenty of claret in the water. You will have to talk to Peter from the Pit Crew for a new full face helmet Ray.
Can't wait to see the Henty boys posts, first try of the new run

Well I should have gone to Port Sorell, but instead I braved the wild West Coast to try the new Henty run with Cookie and Buzzy. Still gutted that I missed the action at Port Sorell, but will hopefully get over it, one day!
Henty is, as always, a special spot that could produce record speeds should the wind ever play ball. Had a few runs on the far section of the run with a 5.6 and couldn't get above 38 in dead flat water (hardly felt like any wind, but still 38 knots). Came in and changed to the 6.2 and at the same time the wind swung enough to sail down the main run and got the 40+ 2-sec first run and then that was pretty much it, as the wind died to non-sailable.
The run was pretty perfect and would have allowed excellent speeds had there been some wind ...

3596 days ago Henty, TAS, AU, First sail here, it was windy North Westerly to start with which was too broard for the main run.
When it did finally swing the strenght went. The depth of water along the main run was really good, with no shallow
areas apart from right at the end near the sea. The drive into the rigging area was also fine for a 4x4.
Pleased to have finally sailed here but would have loved to sail Port Sorell.
