3565 days ago 1 categories Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU I had too be off the water by 5pm because i heard troll was having a quick sail after work and a good indication the wind will be backing off
when i arrived Matt was hammering on his custom with the 6.4 so i rigged the 5/8 and naish sp80 and fully powered up for most of the session,
as usual i headed up to the speed strip and Matt followed , onya Matt you looked quick and i bet that 6.4 was a handful at times
Arky turned up a bit later with his ncx 5.6 and 80lt? and was fairly hammering off the wind in decent chop with an 18cm weedy , scary stuff with a fin that size
Gav turned up a bit later and way under powered so i bolted my 5/8 into his sp 95 and called it a day
alex turned up after school and was hammering on his ? and 4.2 nsx. with some awsome alphas
also nice going Troll and a great effort to get that speed board going with the 5.0 in a dieing wind

3565 days ago Was primed for a freestyle session, but got inspired to strap on a GPS when I saw Matt got a 35 .That and knowing I could then steal all KEEFs jellybeans.
In my cruise around I found a new little area, great spot for mother nature to give us alpha and 2sec PBs
Alex rigged speed gear also,he was on fire.He would get a fist full of PBs if he would ever strap on a GPS again.

Better day today, the wind came in early and I was on the water by 12.30, sailed till about 3.00, when I was knackered. Happy days tho', 'cos I put the iSonic in the water!
I coupled it with my Sailworks Retro 6.5, which was good initially, and trimmed out easily as the wind built......another reason for an outhaul kit!
The board is very lively but not too scary at this stage, as I was being pretty conservative and just trying to get the feel for it. I'll be doing a few footstrap changes and all that jazz. Fist impression was GOOD. It flies over the chop, however I over pressurised the fin a few times and spun out; the board recovered well with lots of leg pressure and massive bear offs. The volume is just where you need it. I'm looking forward to pairing it with a Sailworks NX from the importer in Victoria (Windsurf Systems) when I can save the pennies!
A good first outing, my legs are sore.
