Tony Polony (15626km): Wollumboula Lake, NSW, AU Futura 101, OD R5 6.2, Keefy Delta Special
First sail in nearly two months and my first outing on the new 6.2 Overdrive R5. Conditions were pretty good with a strengthening southerly blowing across Lake W. Fantastic turn out with about 10 windsurfers and about the same amount kiting.
From the review of my overlay, my 2 second peak was achieved on my last run just before my arms and fitness gave in. Pretty happy I went out for one last run!

Dezza (33973km): Wollumboula Lake, NSW, AU Falcon 79l, OD 6.2, CRAIG COLE Weedie, tuned and fitted by KEEF
Great day at Lake W, was a bit worried the wind wouldnt turn up but it did. Checked out what the others were rigging - 6.4's and 6.2s, decided Id be ok on the 5.6, went I mentioned that to Keith, he said "s/be ok if you want to float around..." I could tell by the look on his face I was being a wuss, so back to the car and pulled out the 6.2. The newly tuned up CRAIG COLE fin felt great, loved it, had a great ride today, felt secure and only hit the bottom once, thought Id have scored a bit faster but cant be putting the pedal down hard enough :( A really good windsurf, Lake W is a great place in a southerly, I was enjoying the scenery until Keith said had I seen the dead pelicans...that was the deciding factor for me to call it a day and get out just as the wind blew in hard |
