Stanley, TAS, AU, Most of the time i was on the right board, but in 35kn + gusts we just had to sit back and watch Perks on the speed gear.

Still looking for bigger things the next few days.

Stanley, TAS, AU Few of us waiting for the wind, never really got going until the bank disappeared. One decent gust came through. Dashed in to change down, but it was a bit late. There's always Tuesday  ... or Wednesday  ... or October-January.

Nice sail at Doran's, with plenty of wind. Karen was already rigging up a 5.1 when I got there.  Steve and i went for a 1hr first and then mucked around doing some off-the-wind runs in the chop.  It was a bit gusty during the 1hr, but that was probably the best time for speed runs, with my top speed during my 1hr.  I was doing all of my 1hr in the shallow-flatter water, but there wasn't much length to the runs, resulting in 39 gybes, so be interesting to see Steve's 1hr as he was sailing upwind of where i was sailing in what i thought was rougher water, but with longer runs.  Good fun today.

Very hairy conditions today. First sail in over a month and found it very hard. Got used to it towards the end.

Awesome sail today with Fergus, Dave and heaps of others. Temperature a lot warmer and heaps of wind. Mission today was a 1 hour and we got that. I really thought my 1hr was going to be a lot higher than that. I was sailing a lot further up in a bit choppier water than Dave who was in flatter water. I was getting much longer runs and only did 24 jibes (Dave I recounted them) compared to Daves 39. Ahh the science of the 1hr, still a bit to learn I think. Well done Dave you beat me in the GPS 5 today, I thought I had you for sure. 5 sails in 6 days, whos complainingLaughingCoolSmile

5.1 REFLEX R4  80 iSonic   28 Venom

Great consistant strong wind sail with a few others out. Was great to get on the water. Had 3 nice catapults mainly due from getting the back foot in the strap with numb feet. The water definitely had snow melt in it, has dropped quite a few degrees since my last sail.

Was that you Russ on the sail that had flames on it?

Dave I agree it was better for speed runs earlier. Thought I'ld do a few speed runs before going for a 1 hr, glad I did Smile

More like a quarter of the team! Have you ever thought of splitting up into more teams?

Excellent session Kazza!

We're all enjoying being part of the one team where we can run GPS5 events and use the results from the GPS TC for our GPS State Titles.  It just works well and I reckon it would all become a bit fragmented if we split into different teams?  We also only have to look in the one spot to see who sailed where, which is a bonus!

Cool

Good words there Captain.

Thanks Sue & Anita for your words of encouragement. Don't know about the others but yesterday I felt like I'ld been run over by a truck after Sundays session. Hadn't had a sail for about 3 weeks and the bod has lost sail fitness.

PS half the people in our team don't gps much if at all any more so there looks like there's heaps but there's not.

We have talked about splitting the team in the past but whats the point. Maybe we need to go through the list and those who are not sailing or using GPSTC we cull themLaughing
