Well the wind never really came through. Too much north in it so I left around 2. Hope it filled in for all the DD's that made the trip down

Rigged the small kit for the forecast to start with and never got to use it. Way too much North to do anything along the runway. Weird swell coming in all the way to the beach, made for some interesting runs.

Only 3 out on the water.

Good one Nigel. Thats an excellent PB based on your two second peak.

Great speeds Artur and Remi and its good to see you sailing again Stuart.

I travelled up to Budgewoi today in our little car. I could only take one board and a couple of sails. Based on the forecast I took my smaller gear. It was windy there but I would have needed a bigger board and sail than what I had with me.

Yes well done on the 24.74 nm and PB Nigel. Seems you made the most of stringing a few gusts together.

Shame about the forecast not working out for Primbee. I'm any case it was a great effort by thr team to get out there and give it ago.

The forecast still looks promising for the rest of the week.

I think that's the only naughty PB I've got that doesn't have a gybe in it. I only just scraped it in by about 0.2 on my last PB. I was really hoping to smash the naughty out there, but the wind didn't allow for it.

Cheeky Monkey... I saw your board, but missed you. Next time mate. Laughing

Remi, I notice your curves are always a lot wider than mine and you get good alphas. Maybe I'm turning too tightly. However, if I draw out my turns, I feel like I get a bit wobbly in the sail flip. If I turn tighter then I can lean into the corner more and don't feel as shakey. What do you guys think about wider archs? I'm also worries I won't make the alpha radius if I go wider.

You have to make it within 50 metres width at the gate, so if you turn wider you have to point more upwind in the next 250 metres.

Hey Nigel, I try to keep as much speed and momentum to exit the jybe with speed by going a bit wide, especially if conditions are light. In stronger winds you can tighten the curve as it wont be a problem to get back to full speed.

Thanks for the advice Remi (and George). I'll try and back-off the rail a bit next session and come out pointing a little more down wind rather than such a tight reach straight away.
