And when the wind strength seemed to be right it was just trash gusts, ragged lumps full of holes and hard to get going in, hard to find smooth water ... you gotta love a challenge.

Good fun on the sandbar with a heap of the crew out on the water. Stong wind at the start that was really square, making bearing off into the chop a bit of a worry! Got more gusty as the tide dropped and then finally swung a little more to the NW near the end of the low tide, allowing for a few runs in flatter water, but not as much wind. Pretty challenging day, but well worth it.
