6.4m rss, ca sl58, 21cm delta, Superb day at Fangy's with loads of people out. Had some nice runs through the smooth with only a hint of fin touch. Great to catch up and talk about settings on the carbon arts with Firiebob. CoolCool

91 Mistral SL/63 JP Speed, 6.2 RRD Firewing,23 Delta/20 CLSL3 Weed

Started mid morning for some Kms, on and off the plane for the first hour so I came in for some food and a drink, headed back out on the speed board for a few runs but the pressure wasnt quite there so back in and changed to the 91 again. Another hour of glamour blasting and the population had grown considerably, about 10 on the water and rigging. Went in for lunch with 48.5NM on the clock and plugged the 63 back in now that the pressure had come back up.

Thats when things got interesting

Had a handful of nicely lit runs to start off an Hour run, about half way down a run when BANG !!! I had enough time to think 'what th....' SPLASH, talk about a fast dismount! Turns out the Mast extension snapped, ripping straight through the padded luff pocket, this proceeded to send me straight over the falls talking the board with me and introducing the windward rail to the mast, boom clamp snapped in half as I tried to overtake the rig. I'm convinced my Impact vest saved me a nasty injury, although the same couldn't be said for the 2 ankles and the knee which collected the mast on the way through....Would you beliver the mast is the only thing with no damage?!?

1pm when this happened with 56NM by the time i got back to the beach.....an arvo of 'what could have been'  I'd say 20ish  Speed Nutters on the water when i left.  Next time!!

WOW the CST were really going hard in that Session. That is an amazing set of scores. A well deserved #1 position. (I knew I had better screenshot us at #1 because it was unlikely to last long). I am sure we would not have held#1 distance without Duffy's mishap. Sorry to hear about that Duffy. Maybe you hit one of the few weedbergs stll around.

A had fought and well deserved couple of PBs Salty. There is no good luck in a top hour or alpha, just a lot of hard work. I hope you are going to thank Fin and Wazza for putting in those gybe markers!

Man I thought the Pinnas were annoying. The bloody Nannas have cut sick! Well done peeps all across the board a great session!!

( Sorry to see you got Mineral munted Duffy, but thanks for taking it from the rest of us- hope you are all ok)

Pepe - i sailed up one of your fin trails when you were in the shallower stuff. The shockwave through the weed is impressive, but when you went over the shalower stuff the amount of sand thrown up in your vortex wake was quite something.

Rod that is an truly epic distance session and a pb that is going to be hard to beat for quite some time. Huge congrats. How is the body this morning - I have some firewood to chop if you want a loosener? And as Capn Calm pointed out - you are now the new leader of the Fangtastic Five. Good stuff!!

Chris - that is just one mental corner. faaaark! You are up in the stratosphere of corner pbs now! And then both you and chief Nanna whack out an hour that I would be lucky to do if I was driving. Stroppoo - usual demi god like numbers and a big distance for you thesedays - i hope you are resting quietly in your fav rocking chair today.

Just Massive fellas.
