A pleasant session at the home patch as it looked more promissing than Melville.
Managed to complete a few gybes in that chop, which felt great.

I had planned to go for a road trip today but got called up for family duties so got down to the river late. It was good to try out some different trim setting, moved the boom higher and found the sweet spot. much more comfortable.

Strange when you can see whitecaps in the distance but theres pretty much no wind where you need it to be. A Few of us decided to wait and a few went elsewhere. I think elsewhere would have been windier but it finally came in making it pretty comfy for a few hours then it faded. Had a bit of trouble with the delta growing a moustache so i have some fine tuning to do, bloody aweful when they grab the weed Got some tips from the gurus though, thanks guys.
Great bunch of people there today. Nice enough on the water but not one of the better days there for me, probably due to the weed collection.
One of the neighbours was kind enough to come over and warn us that the dreaded crims in the commodore were driving around again. I did see a white VE drive past with nice mags on it with a very tanned male and female in it. He said that was the one and he had seen the female do the breaking in in previous days. Clearly the laws arent so tough that it keeps these scumbags away! At least this guy has followed them and has an associated house where they have stopped so hopefully in time they shall be caught.

A few runs in and out of the pond. Lots of company today, both kites and windsurfers, making speed runs quite hazardous - wasn’t game to negotiate the full length of the beaver.

Was paralysed by indecision after having been planning a fangies trip all week, so ended up staying close to home. Managed to lose car key in sand so lucky it wasn’t too far to get the spare dropped of.

3249 days ago Novara for the hour mission - captain's orders Must have been the peanut butter sandwich and the chicken pie - I just didn't want to stop today. What a blast! Big downwinder for the hour from ward point (I think it ward point?) and finshed down in Coodanup at the end. Saw a few sails but didn't stop as I needed to get back to home base still. Spent the next hour getting back upwind to where Mark was. Body is feeling the session now!
2nd fastest hour, yeeeehar

Had high hopes for today, given the forecast, but alas it was mostly disappointing.
Thought about Liptons (but the wind looked sketchy). Thought about the Beaver (but the tide looked too low).
Settled for Melville.
On the water at 4.30 with the M112 + 7.6 TR9 combo (and a brand new 33 Tribal WS). Pretty underdone. Too shallow for speed runs, so went for some long runs across the river. And made my way downwind chasing gusts and trying to stay planing in the gusty conditions.
I was way downwind when the switch-off came, dogged in and had a monumental walk of shame the length of Melville Beach Road
Shoulda:
A. Gone coastal
B. Taken the big kit
C. Stayed home!!

3249 days ago Session at Hardie's backing up the energizer bunny.
He was still going when I left.
Sailed up to Ward Point with a view to long runs across the estuary. Moved the mast base back and instantly regretted it on the first run as I just could not stay across the wind. Run across was just under 8km. Back at hardies at 18 mins and decided to just do the inside mile run a real wrestle to not lose ground in to the rock garden and 13 gybes. Finished the hour with adownwind run to Boundary Island but as always seems to be the case the wind just got weaker.
Saw Hardie chucking big rooster tails on the way back upwind but I was underdone in alpha land.
Had a go at a few alphas in the flats of the outside run and had one screamer but crashed the exit.

Congrats to Snakey on the top Hr and being in team top overall position for 2015!
