Ricey (11089km): Novara Beach, WA, AU Trip to Novara to join Mark in his circumferential feat. Fairly ordinary sail for me, better once I changed from weedy to pointer. Rocket 105, Koncept 5.8
Lunny (42007km): Novara Beach, WA, AU What a great day out with loads of support for Marks Mighty Milestone Arrived to find the Legendary Lao out all by himself smashing out the K's. Thought it would be the right thing to back up the master, maaan am i going to pay for it, he just kept going and going Nice to finally meet Elmo and a quick hello to many familiar faces. Oh and Mark, Adam (man over board) and Andrew (sailquick) came just after you left too. Just missed you. (great to meet you too guys) RRD xfire 102, Mistral 91, Reflex2 7.0, Tribal WS 29, 33
Neon Leon (31km): Novara Beach, WA, AU 6.5T4, 101 Futura, 31JP weedie and two masts (a slight mishap with the first mast) Pleased that I beat my Mum on the 2 sec.
Jeff (13640km): Novara Beach, 6.6 and mistral 112 - great to see so many people, all there to congratulate Mark on his achievment, pitty the sun and seabreeze didnt turn up but still a good day out.
Windxtasy (13938km): Novara Beach, WA, AU 5.7K, M91, 21delta A mad dash to Novara after church to catch up with the great one as he completed his circumnavigation of the globe. Alas he had already completed the first circumnavigation and started on his second. Good to catch up with a lot of crew at Novara to celebrate the great occasion, thanks for coming along. I am sure Mark appreciated your support and company. It was really fun to sail at Novara again. The chop was fun and made Fangys seem just a little bit boring, perhaps. Thanks to Hardie for his alpha tutorial today - looks like it did pay off after all! That PB gybe was the last one I did, after you left, Joe. I felt I was just starting to get the hang of it but everyone seemed to have come in off the water by then and I didn't want to keep everyone waiting for me so I decided to head back too. I was surprised how well the delta fin went upwind in the chop. Realspeed gave me an alpha over 18 - so long I have been wanting an 18+ alpha, but for consistency I will stay with KA72. My top 5 alphas are all over 17 now, getting some consistency - not just a lucky fluke! Hardie confirmed for me where my problems lie, and I could see I needed to tighten up the carve. That part was easy. Changing the timing of the rig flip accordingly will take more practice. I might have to get the freeride sail out again to practice rig flips. Luckily I still have one mast it will work on after Leon broke the other one today. Good to have my sailing buddy and chauffeur along again today. Today was his first session for the season and he did very well.
Obelix (3335km): Novara Beach, WA, AU Finally. my first sail in the MAndurah Inlet. Found Elmo at the beach, and he showed me where not to go, how to get in, etc. Thanks Elmo. Nice to put the face against the name. When I arrived between 11 and 12 , Mark has already completed his mission. Amazing achievement. Big congratulations to Mark, and all sailors who turned out, PBs or not. A great turnout of Pinnaroos. Lester arrived all the way just to congratulate Mark, as he can't sail yet. A lot of happy faces today.

lao shi (41082km): 2905 days ago I had my first sail at Hardie's. Both that day and today are examples of the great thing that Hardie and Nebbian started. A group of like minded individuals sharing the stoke and having fun. Let's keep it going. It was great to catch up with some of those that I met for the first time that day, Hardie, Elmo, Decrepit, Sammy all of whom have shared their knowlege with me over the years. Thanks to Anita and JJ for organising the signed globe and the comments journal and getting lots of crew to come back to where it all started. Thank you also to all those who filled in the journal and came along today and offered congratulations for a pretty nuts achievement. Thanks also to my team mates and those from other teams that have been such good company for all those Km sailed. Here are the stats: 2936 days since my first ever post. 938 sessions posted to GPSTC (including a few 0 data posts) 42.85 Km / session average and 13.7 Km / day since starting. Started at 8am after a breakfast pie from the Miami Bakehouse (main reason for sailing Mandurah!) Cranked out the required 100Km by 11.15 on the big gear with some pretty wild gusts giving a 31.8 peak and 30.8 10 sec. Wind was pretty constant and I had fun. Stopped for a celebratory beer with Lunny and Yoyo (early I know but what the hey!) Did another 50Km on the big gear with it getting gustier before changing down and managed to completely mistime it. Went on a downwind run and it took me the best part of an hour to get back as the wind dropped and went West! That was the hardest part on the hands so decided to go back to the big board for the remainder. Came in at 100 miles for a last feed and did a final few laps to get the 200Km and finished just after 4pm. Could have kept going but the wind appeared to be getting more holey. Loft Blade 7.8, F2SX77, Wector weed 40, Loft Switchblade 6.8, Mistral SL91, Choco weed 27 Amazing hour from Snakey in those conditions! Congrats to Lunny on a hard fought Km PB cementing his position as team leader! Thanks, Firie for the photos. Breakfast pie selfie. Line is 1 Nm. Just a few laps today!

JJ (25827km): Novara Beach, WA A big turnout to see Lao complete his first trip around the world and make a good dent in his second circumnavigation, with a huge KM session. Awesome achievement, well done Mark

Snake (23888km): Back to where it all started, down at Novara boat ramp, Peel Inlet, WA, AU. Lots of folks turned up to see Lao Shi complete his first lap of the globe - what an awesome achievement! Plenty of crew out on the water as well and some nice wind around too. Great to catch up with some of the originals who I haven't seen in what seems like an age. Joe, Alby, Sammy, and Decrep and the usual Pinnaroo invasion force Great to catch up with all of you again! Mega congrats to Mark for the big Ks today and for the awesome hard work that has gone in to getting over the line - the first in the GPSTC!!!! Wooohoo! Went for the 100km continuous session today. Mark only had 100km to get over the line, so decided 100km was the magic number. Mega underdone a lot the time but a few gusty bits provided some fun sections. A fair bit of slogging to get back to where I started. Did a big downwinder in the last 10 minutes of the second hour to get the 25 - ended up down near Fangys and had a big slog back upwind in marginal breeze (there's not much wind down there!). Worth every minute of the slog though. 100km average = 23.6kn. More wind please !!! Iso 86sl, RB 7.0, FO Weedster 28
