Lunny (42007km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU A good opportunity to wrestle with the beast at Liptons, no not Stroppo, the JP Slalom There were only 3 of us out for a fair while (Stroppo and Decrep) with a few more arriving later. The usual stormy front filled the estuary up with choppy water but some reasonably flatish spots were ok with the gusts. That would be the fastest ive been on a board that size. It was quite comfortable in the chop, a tad of a handful (or footful) when the ballistic gusts came through but i reckon any other board would have been too. Great day with some great people JP 78 SL 130l, Severne ReflexIII 6.2, Tribal ws 33
Jeff (13640km): Pelican Point, 6.6 Koncept and Mistral 112. Only took the big sails thinking it wasnt very windy. Bad decision. Managed to hang onto the 6.6 for a bit and when there was a short lull it was ok but not for long. Said hi to a few people I hadnt seen for a while and got wet so all pretty good. I dont think I have sailed at Peli for a fair while, I imagine it would have been less choppy on the other side but possibly more gusty as well.
GS (4113km): Melville - IS107, 38/36/34/32 fins. CR7.7/6.5 - Gusty overpowered big holes and broken Enigma mast all thrown in.

Windxtasy (13938km): Safety Bay, WA, AU M41, 4.9K, 21 tribal WS Wind - plenty and pretty consistent Tide - dropped precipitously but good for flat water until it got too shallow around 4PM Board - perfect Sail - comfy Fin - kept picking up weed and spinning out. Really hard to get going in the shallows. Had to d a lot of walking. Should have used my delta Fitness - not good. Puffing and blowing like a steam train Skill level - the gear could have done better speeds with a more skilful sailor! Company - not many but good quality. Kites - not many but in all the wrong places Numbers - not great but should get us on the board for May
Ricey (11089km): Pelican Point, WA, AU No wind when I got there, but it came up enough to rig 6.0. By the time I finished rigging it was clear I would be overpowered but decided to give it a try. Yes it was too big. Rigged 5.0 Koncept, 105 Rocket (good in the significant chop) and orange Tabou 35 fin (nice and flexible so it shouldn't twist up in the big gusts) Still overpowered in the gusts but underpowered in some of the lulls. That is winter sailing. Did not have the confidence to go for a proper blast, but came home un-injured, so that was a good day.
