PJ (24612km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU SSE 8-14 knots-Naish Gran Pix 128-Avanti M1 8.5m-BP 47.5cm Pretty light wind day that very slowly filled in. Best was last 30 mins when I was about gassed! Hit x4 carp and luckily all glancing blows. Sam, Geoff, Leon, Mike all tried their hand at a sail but to light for their chosen rigs:-\
evets (21500km): Lilacs JP54SP RSREV 7.0 MXR24 weedy Great fun sail with Morts, BSN101 and Shane. Welcome to Albany Dave. Was a pretty good session, thought I would do some alphas and swap to the M91 for the hour but decided to just go for the hour. Arms feeling a bit tired as this is the third day of sailing in 6 days ( getting soft and old). Was only fully powered for about 10 minutes so hour was ok but not as good as I had hoped. It was still my second fastest hour and therefore 3rd entry into my top 5s for 2017. Quite a good start to the year! Just did 2 NM runs, neither was well powered but 3 more would have helped my 5x however I am out of energy. I need to look at my alphas,I suspect I had some better ones just too wide. It felt so strange at first gybing the 7.0 having had so much fun with the 5.4 only 2 days earlier. Anyway not a bad start to the year. Morts was having a good go at the hour so I hope to see good things there.
Shane121 (6794km): Albany, WA, AU Harding rd . JP 55 slalom speed , NP evo 5 6.4 , delta 19 speed , I didn't think I was going to get a sail in today but the gods shone down upon me and set the chipper on fire in the plantation. So I saw this as a sign, and headed to the water. Great way to spend the afternoon sailing with Steve Morts and Dave

Koncept 6.2, Sonic 56w + Delta 19, CA44 Tribal S/weed 23
Great sail with usual suspects Shane & Steve & a guest BSN101 (Dave) from One More Knot.
Main aim today was to have a crack at an hour as there was just enough tide to go right into the town end with the Delta. Went out & did a NM (thanks for that tip Steve & Stroppo) & then straight into it, nearly dropped my 2nd gybe which wasn't a great start Thankfully that was the worst gybe of the hour & I'm pretty happy with the result.
Didn't drop a gybe until a Kiter decided to do a jump about 30m in front of me & 10m upwind, unprepared hurried gybe resulted in a mini Elmo except I couldn't do a skimming stone impersonation. After being do unsociable to our guest Dave I took him up the top for a NM with Steve also joining us. Stuffed it up a bit by going a bit low & staying in the slight chop. Think Dave enjoyed it as he was like I wanna do that again!!! His huge grin was a highlight of the day.
Decided to go & give the CA a bit of a run, used the Tribal for the first time. Thanks Stroppo for telling me how to shim up the trailing edge to get a better fit Was starting feel the effect of the hour by now & the tide had dropped a bit so did drag it a few times but did go & have another crack at a NM which resulted in the 32. Only did a few runs before calling it a day as I was getting a bit pooped.
Have had 3 great sails with great company in the last 5 days, tired but very happy
Looking forward to seeing Dave's numbers!
