Safety Bay, WA, AU 96 Supercross 5.8 (shizer) Koncept 25 WS. Not my favorite session.

Tack session #2. Pelican Pt, WA, AU. Nice couple of hours, tacks only. Only had 2 gybes in the 2hrs. Finally got the transition happening smoothly thanks to the advice from sensei!!!! Pretty cool to suddenly be on the opposite side, working the board into position with the feet, powering up and away we go. Sweeeeet feeling. 

18.5kn on starboard, 16.5kn on port today, but I had a run of about 4 really smooth ones in a row at one point which felt awesome!! Port probably slower due to the fluky wind in close. Plenty of over the fronts in the choppy gusty mess, but at least I know what I'm doing wrong when that happens.

Downsides: Blisters on all my toes and all the pads on my hands ripped off/open - big ouch!  Looks like I'll be off sailing for the next little while, maybe 7 days or so. At least I'm making progress!

Wind was light at the start but rigged small in hopes of it picking up.Wind came in a bit late and was a bit up and down. A lot of people out enjoying their day off.

Bit of a fun day at Liptons, spent most of the day at Pt Grey and going to the far side of the bay, didn't put the gust together today but was good exploring the bay. Good catching up with everyone down there and meeting a few new faces. A nice cruisy day

It was certainly worth the drive and I should have been there earlier. Enough wind to be able to use the smaller sails and high tide so you could sail everywhere.

Unfortunatley I could not provide the backup for distance that Boz deserved, he was like a man possesed today, zipping from side to side.

Once again the GPS didn't save the file. Might try a new memory card. Fortunately I didn't break any records.

Melville was a bit choppy but point walter could have produced some good runs if I has the right fin and sail combo.

Various fins but the 32 knot fin is a drake that's been re-boxed into a weed fin.

Pelican Point, 115L/7m - another struggling "gybe" session - will eventually start to work.
