Henty, TAS, AU   Another memorable Henty expedition with Cookie, Todd and Dave. Bit surprised to see the nauty pb, though the alpha is a little disappointing. Thanks again Cookie.

Henty, TAS, AU, Very broard to start with today so we had to wait a while for the wind to swing to the South a bit.

Good to sail with Baz, Todd and Dave.

Henty, TAS, AU 2017 iSonic 87, OD R8 7.0m and Tribal 25cm WeedSpeed.

Another good sail at Henty with Cookie, Todd and Baz.  As Cookie said, too broad to begin with (as always), but then it swung to the right direction for long broad runs for an hour or so, which was great.  Not a lot of wind, so first time on the 7.0m there I think - felt great.  Nice feeling doing 3km long runs in virtually dead flat water!!

Do you have to walk the board all the way back from the run at Henty?

Depends on the wind direction, Sue. For the first hour or so it was very broad. Deep downwind runs with very little load on the sail, but a long walk back. Most of the next couple of hours was more straight across, so occasionally you could sail both ways for the full run. Often it was gusty, with holes and direction changes, and you could sail back in sections.

Seems to be a common pattern there  ... deep down wind runs  for a few hours earlier in the day, then a squarer angle as the front passes.
