Ricey (11089km): Melville Beach, WA, AU quite strong but variable wind. 6.0 Gator initially 105 Rocket and 29 weedy, then 80 x-Fire and 26 weedy. Much better on the 80L exept when the wind dropped, which it did quite a bit. Saw Kenny starting to rig and a purple spray jacket sailing past which I presume had Anita inside.
Lunny (42007km): Coodanup, WA, AU Geez what a week of wind. Glad I went to Coodanup, it was great out there with Fangy & Shane. Surprised not to see more out. Noticed a small chip near the fin box which ended up peeling a nice bit of paint off from my last repair. Ahh well no more cheap aerosol primers. Got me thinking how much water pressure there must be at speed though. M112, Isonic 107, M91, Reflex6 6.2, Tribal ws 29

Windxtasy (14010km): Melville Beach, WA, AU 5.4K, M91 30 Tribal I woke up this morning with a clear head and no vertigo, for the first time in a week. At lunch time I was nearly finished at work and I was excited to see there was plenty of wind and still sunshine! I finished up as fast as I could and then headed down to the river - having had the forethought to pack my car before I left for work (not tempting fate too much by packing last night like I did on Tuesday). I rigged and changed as quickly as possible but not fast enough. The sun slipped behind the clouds and a rain squall came across just as I entered the water. Never the less I had a lot of fun. A bit of board and sail tuning had me flying across the water in a fairly controlled manner, but the muscles gave in after a short time and said "we don't want to do anymore". Short but sweet. Not a bad speed considering I have never done 30 knots on the river. I did complete some gybes today, so I am happy about that. I must see if realspeed can calculate an alpha for me.
Kenny (16394km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Another sunny winter's day. Got down to the river after lunch and met Ricey coming in to change to a smaller board so I knew it was windy. Sailed upwind towards the Nedlands yacht club intending to do some downwind runs across the river back to the carpark. Wayyy overdone in the gusts so stayed (got stuck) upwind until I finally decided to stop on the sand bank near attadale and pull 2cm more downhaul. Made the downwind runs over the chop/waves much more comfortable instead of near death experiences like before. Noticed that the tide was low compared to what weve been having recently so went for a couple of runs over the sandbank which was quite flat. A bit disapointed with the hour but I did spend a bit of time getting the settings right. What a great few days this week! 5.5 Tr7, 97 isonic, 29 tribal ws
Snickers (14043km): I missed the best of the wind (had somewhere warmer to be) but at least I rigged the bigger gear to make the most of it. First time I've used the C3 fin with the big board and I'm pretty impressed to get a 31 knott 2s in the chop with the big girl. Think it might be my best ever for that board. i was trying for a decent alpha by heading off the wind into and out of the gybe but apparently that not counted in the alpha scores and at teh other end I was in the chop with some barely passable gybes heading upwind straight out of teh gybe. My time on the water was cut short when my front foot came out of the foot strap => catapult => blew a panel out on the old RS Evo II, sadly it's time to save the batterns and scrap what was a fantastic sail. Not much help improving the one hour speed. iSonic 125L, C3 venom 38, NP RS racing evo II 7.8M
