Boz (44086km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Vert late sail, got down Ben just about to hit the water thought I'd just go for alpha's as sun was setting. Wind all over the place gusty most times wind fell away coming out of the turns finished up when it was dark good to get wet. AB54 KAR6.3 V28
Snickers (14043km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Great session at the end of the day, even managed to avoid the rain. Pitty we didn't have a bit more daylight to make the most of it. Apparently I've been going about alphas the wrong way so thanks Boz for explaining what constitutes an alpha gybe. iSonic 94L, ReflexIII 7M, Techtonics goldwing 35
Lunny (42007km): Point Grey, WA, AU Well.... how do i describe it? It was BLOODY AWESOME (It wasnt really Boz) Arrived to find a familiar bunch of Mobbers cars which was great (safety in numbers) The best bit was with Jonski later when the wind swung more NW. Tide dropped a smidge and there were some good flat bits around the eastern bay, although it was a bit of a mission getting back. Well worth it though sharing a cracker NM run with Jonski. The weed was a bit intimidating too with the sudden jolt/handbrake feeling when wacking through it. Luckily not enough to perform acrobatic stunts. Glad Kenny came down too. Nice to have another Pinna enjoy the ballistic wind. M112, 91, Reflex8 7.0, Reflex6 6.2, Tribal ws 29,25

Kenny (16394km): Point Grey, WA, AU Another great adventure in deliverance country. Long drive on the dirt road this time with more pot holes and a dead kangaroo. Second time at this location and was good to sail with Lunny and half of the Mandurah Mob. Also got to finally meet the one known as Fangman! Started out pretty comfy on the 5.5 for the 1st few runs but the wind steadily picked up to well over 30 knots. Went for an hour twice but started to fatigue at the 30 minute mark both times. Probably about time I got a smaller sail for these days or eat more pies. Great to see Lunny smash out the 40 knots as easily as me getting 28. 5.5 tr7, 91 Mistral, 19 Delta freeride
Windxtasy (14010km): Melville Beach, WA, AU 5.4K M91 30 Tribal Wind on the beach was 15 - 18 kn (by my wind meter) but it felt a lot stronger, and I was well powered with the 5.4 and my muscles felt like jelly after only a dozen runs. Sailing fitness is sadly lacking. High tide meant no flat water but the chop wasn't too confused. Caught up with Ricey as I arrived, and Ben as I was leaving. Surprisingly few out. |
