Marion Bay, TAS, AU iSonic 86, Ovedrive 6.2, Tribal WS25 / Black Project 29 (50 degree rake).

Great sail today, with a stack of people out!  Going for the GPS5.  The 1hr started well, but then the wind dropped out a bit for the last half.  Everyone going for it.  Well done on beating me in the 2-second Fergus, you were flying.  The weed banks are defintiely growing with weed to the surface even without a super low tide.  Most of my sailing was with the Tribal WS, but as that started to get bogged in the weed i tried the Black Project 29 with a 50 degree rake.  Took a little to get used to, but went through the weed better.  Could still feel some drag, as the weed was pretty thick and causing the water to glass off just in sections.

6.2 OD R8   80 iSonic   25 Weedy

Pretty rapped with my figures for such a rushed time limited sail. Man it came in strong at one stage and gybing the 6.2 was very challenging at times (glad I've been keeping up the weights over winter at gym), but I hung in there and the wind dropped again.

Great sailing with all the crew, love it!!Cool

Should mention the weed is only in a few small areas, which is where we're trying to get the top 2-second, so most of the sailing is in more open water.  Still quite flat, but not bear-off flat-out flat!
