Marion Bay, TAS, AU

Wind was up and down and all over the place. Started an hour on 3 different occasions but not consistant enough for any good numbers, so pulled out about half way through(sick of getting 26's).  Just ended up sailing around without trying for anything.  Found a few new lines for when the wind does blow properly(should have been here yesterday!)

Welcome back to the world of 1 hour mortals Kaleb Wink

Hard luck on the ding and the batten Fletch - you will fly on that board once you master it!

Studying your tracks Buzzy as to some new sections you tried, has anyone tried sailing behind that neck down from where we normally sail?

Yes, have sailed there. Very flat but also short runs and sort of fun, needs a really strong wind and then could possibly be good for a 2s

I was looking at lines through the racks and weed for hour.  More importantly the area below where my tracks are.  The two runs I did down there was to check if it was viable to head through there on a good fast angle.  First runs would be short but then it opens up again, then weed causes it to narrow down further towards the castle, there is a LOT of weed down there. Possible to have 10-15minutes off the wind down there at 30+.

Have accidentally been in the weed just up from the Castle in my "tinnie" - can verify there is a lot of weed and it is thick. It could be fantastic. But there is potential for debris (branches, etc) to be stuck in there, so may need a "crash test dummy" to go in there first if anyone knows of one Wink.

I seem to be getting good a crash testing weed beds if anyone want to donate a board Cool
