Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU 15-30kt W || Exocet RS4, 5.1 Reflex R6, 37 Z

Strong and gusty westerly. Sailed with Remi, Artur and Jules. Was all good to go on the beach, but noticed a pretty decent ding on the nose of my RS4. Luckily Remi had a spare board on the beach he lent me it for the afternoon. Big thanks Remi, legend!

Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU. Westerly, 20 to 30 knots. NP RSSlalom  6.2m with various boards - 92 JP slalom, Isonic 104L and Isonic 122L. Last was the most fun as it stayed on the plane in te lulls. Great workout with the DD team including Remi, Andrew and Artur.

Exocet Rs3 - Loftsails 7.0 - 34 fin

Forecast promised soo much, delivered soo little.

Bumpy like Hookipa, riding swell going down the runway. Brets bearaway were on the way back to shore.

Epic day at Primbee, with so many out! Despite the sane option being at Threadbo....

This was one of the most consistent Westerlies I can remmeber, for the first hour or so anyway, from about 1 to 2:30, then turned S a bit and got litter then gustier from W again.

Started with the iSonic 90L and 5.6 with a 27cm spweedie Vector Fin since the tide was so high, but the speeds were nudging 35+ so decided to switch to the speed board. Few unintended stops in the shallows, despite the 22cm fin, but I actually made 4 gybes total. All day!

Nailing a speed board gybe gives you a special sense of accomplishment, especially when it is a tinnie weenie Nais Sp60!

Had to wait until about 4PM for the peak speed, when the water dropped a few cm and was much flatter, in patches.

So cold. Front foot kept slipping out of the strap. 6.3 Boom had the clamp rope stuck, so I swapped to a spare boom, and found a crack in the harness line after 100m, so gave up and went back to the 5.6 as the W came back in. Phew.

Watched George sail off for "1 more run..." into the sunset, but thankfully he made it back. I hope you got your 100!. I spent to much time standing in ankle deep water. Speed boards are not the best for long distance!

Got a GW60 watch because I am down to the last gt31 with no spares. Checked the gps watch file and it was giving .2 knots better speed and .08 better alpha, must be the 5hz logging. It makes it so easy to check your numbers and not worrying about the waterproof bag. I sailed from around 11.30 to 4.30 pm and the battery lasted.
