Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU

Exocet RS3 - Loftsails RB 7.0 - 34 fin

Underdone to overdone and repeat and again and some rain as well... But always good to catch up with the usual crew with a special visit form the mtb rider ;) A little chilli as well compared to yesterday.

Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU 12-25kt NW || Exocet RS6/RS4, 7.7 S2 Venom/6.2OD, 46 Select Ride/40 Volt

Fun in the NWer with Remi, Artur, then later Nigel and Jules. Getting more used to the RS4 - nice easy gybing.  Annihilated one of my right toes - by not watching out for the concrete slab in the car park I was about to kick, while I rushed the packing up. At least it happened after the sailing (blood pissing everywhere).

That was bizare... wind upto 35kts in one spot, and 0-5kts 50m away. I often stood in a 'blind spot' while sailors ran by, or vice-versa.

iSonic 90L briefly with 7.0 and VectorFins Spweedie 27

Naish speed 60 mostly with 6.3 first, then 7.0, but it didn't help!?!? all were wrong at some point.

Sorry Remi, didn't get a chance to try the new 5.5 or 5.0 out today :(

Good to see so many on the water, despite the temps. Some guy (Peter?) even had a drone out for a bit and got some fottage chancing Detlev et al around.

That 40.... grrrr last run of the day has the red dots.

40kts is within the error bars!

Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU 105L/122L isonics w/ 7.0m NP H2. 15 to 25 Kt W to NWerly.

Interesting up/down/then up again session. Never really got comfortable but good fun. Thanks to Remi and Artur for packing up at 4pm after the wind died off. That did the trick. By 4.15 it had picked up 8-10 kt (see below) and I was getting blown off the water!! Struggling to stay in control.

Wind was weird down Illawarra way. It felt like the wind was rolling off the escarpment and ‘bouncing’ off the water. Sometimes staying at sail level for a gust. But often not. Some water was glassy as I sailed into it on a 30kt reach! Needles to say made for tricky conditions especially if you got caught in fin deep water.

I deleted the data before checking the gps screen... one reading in GPSSppeed said 40.0... so it would probably have printed on screen. And I missed the photo opportunity. Urgh
